I've had my 33 for about 2 years now and yesterday I found this in my sun visor.

Black.jpg

I'm assuming it's a parking ticket of some sort.

It's kinda kool to know that my line was somewhere in Japan on the 17-Oct-04. About 1 year before I bought it.

Because I was told I was the first Aussi owner. And this kinda proves it.

Anyone here able to translate it? So I can Google Map the location ;)

Be kool to see the streets it would have been belting around at the time.

Yea i found the old service sticker inside my fuel door. Only problem was they did the 120 000 K's service but the odometer had 85 000 K's on the clock when i picked up the car up.

Sticker is dated 4/10/2004.

new speedo maybe??

dodgy seller lol??

when my white 33 landed over here from Japan, i found a few japanese silver coins and my rear ashtray was filled with some sort of nice scented little gel silica balls. I chucked em out straight away, but that same nice scent still hasnt left the car today!

lol, did you call Crime Stoppers or missing persons?.....I didn't know Nissans came from France?! :laughing-smiley-014:

:nyaanyaa:

haha well first when i saw it im like, ok so i paid how much for customs to check my car? and i find a dead frog in there as soon as i got the thing home. i guess quarantine doesnt really matter all that much haha.

im not the first owner from japan but mine had the factory books with it cant read none of it

the 350z and onwards have Renault engines, that French enough for ya

when i open the flap thing to fill up petrol, theres a bunch of little stickers like you get on oranges and apples stuck there but there little fuel brand stickers. can remember them off the top of my head

but their still in there.i like em

And found an awesome golf club in the boot tucked up in the boot hinge racks.

Clean GTS-t, it looks like a parking ticket to me - says something about "Day Camp" on there, which might be an all-day parking place.

Those balls are awesome! The sell them in bottles, and I always get a bottle or two every time I go to Japan. The only stuff I've found that 100% deodorises the stale cigarette smell.

Or it could have just had it's odometer wound back like 95% of imports that come in without a service history.

That's actually changed a fair bit lately - kms from the last two times each car was regoed are now listed on export certificates for every car leaving Japan.

There are some strange things coming over in our lines. LOL

about 4m of fiber optic cables under the rear set with no connection plugs and not going anywhere

Might have been a custom audio install gone wrong :P

i found a dried up frog in my car when i got it fresh from japan.

Customs were on the ball that day :P

Must have been someones defense stick

    • I like it when the counter chick leads you out the back into the racks and says "have a grub around in here and see if you can find what you need. I'll be back in a few minutes. Just left me in front of a massive motorised shelving system and 2-3 million fasteners, so I could find a peculiar SS shoulder bolt with cap head. Gotta love country towns.
    • I used this https://osgiken.com.au/product/os-giken-os-250r-lsd-gear-oil-80w250-1-litre/   shut my nismo 1.5 pro up by heaps…. Not silent though. Gives the car character and personality. It ain’t a carolla. If you want silent, put a quaife in it.
    • It's about the same time for me from Bunnings, or the Fasteners. My big push away from takeaway food, and gluten in general keeps me away from the Bunnings Snags too! Weather up here, I've been out for two walks today in the beautiful sunshine. Had a few little drizzles, and some wind, that honestly, a tin of beans and I could compete on how harsh she blows Thankfully, being this bit inland, we're not getting anything much really. Will probably pick up a bit more when/if Cyclone Alfie decides to come ashore. A few areas in the GC though, and south into NSW are really getting smashed though! Right now, I'm just annoyed Alfie hasn't hit, as I'm not allowed to crack into the BBQ foods like the bacon and eggs until the Cyclone hits "In case we lose power"...
    • I love fastener joints, the price difference between them and joints like Bunnings or Super Cheap is amazing, and they either have exactly what you want, or they can get it to quick They have even given me some for free when I only needed a couple of specific size In saying this, I have paid premium for fasteners from Bunnings if they have the sizes I need, but only for convenience really, as my local is only 10 minutes away, the Sushi joint near them is also a consideration  How's the weather Matt? Stay safe mate
    • Wideband is worth setting up if only for tuning purposes. I would not mess with the ignition system unless there's a misfire. HKS crank trigger is popular out here for the relatively easily sourced Denso crank sensor, not a bad idea to install as well regardless of power level on a standalone. Boost leak test is worth thinking about. Oil pressure sensor tied to a fuel cut isn't a bad idea either. Getting the tune figured out is a good idea. Without putting eyes on it and getting under it there's no way for us to tell you exactly what it needs but most likely you're down to the last 10% that will make a big, big difference in how happy you are with the car.
