Not sure how low your springs are, but when I've worked on springs and taking them off, they've always had enough pressure to throw the nut through a garage door! ;)

Just go and buy a set of spring compressors from supercheap mate. Something like $50 for the pair. There's a sale on now as well, take advantage of it.

Edit: It's not the spring you should be scared of. It's the nut.

The compressor's just a clamp which holds the coils of the springs. Go and grab a spring and squeeze it with your bare hands, that's pretty much how they work, but you screw it in with a shifter. I can tell you now that it's a pain in the arse to do. If only I had an air gun or something.

Where abouts are you located? I've got one you can borrow if you'd like.

I'm in the Noble Park, Dandenong area, so if you want to borrow them, PM me and I'll give you more details.

They're only $50 from supercheap and you use them more than once, so it's up to you if you want to borrow them or just buy a pair for yourself.

Just let me know if you need them.

^^ yeah thanks for the offer

but like you said for 50 bucks i might as well get some from supercheap

i got mine from supercrap, i thought they were a bit cheaper than $50 tho.

At least if you buy a set, you'll be able to lend them out to your mates in exchange for beer.

Be very careful guys or you'll end up looking like one of the guys from Rambo 4, that is you'll only have half a head!!!

I've seen the hats off these go through roofs so take care when pulling apart if unsure take it to a pro and keep your face and teeth looking good.
