back from the dead - some brembos i was finishing off this morning - still need to clear coat the front set tomorrow, then re-assemble

I painted mine with automotive paint and it still looks great after 1 yr 9 mth

Going to go with a mega thread bump here.

Chris, do you have to separate the halves of the calipers to powder? I think my front 6 pot APs were coated when the caliper was together, as the hex bolts holding the two sides together are also coated.

If I wanted them recoated, what needs removing?

Also, what's the deal with heat issues and powder coated calipers?

I painted my calipers red with VHT 900 degree paint today and am loving the outcome. I really hope they last.

The instructions suggest that the use of the brakes can substitute for the baking process.
