Please everytime i sign in its boring, until i search for things.. maybe show some large pics, i duno a lot more colour, think Nissan! think Skyline! Maybe select some random "for sale items" and post them on the homepage to see clearly and get more exposure for sellers. People will love it!-buyers and sellers. Please i love the site, its just that it would be awesome to have a really good homepage. Even a post up a rating section that posts the top 10 sweetest rides from members. Cool Stuff! that stupid carebear has to go. Does anyone agree?... Ill work for you geez! hahah

Besides that Great work.

lol my bad didnt realise it was someones avatar, nothing against the carebears for me lionheart was the man. But this site deserves a better main page. I remember when i first joined i was like hmm.. not much here.. until u start playing around and searching. My opinion is that a great homepage makes people want to "come in" anyway its only one opinion.

I totally agree, the front page is generally uninformative and unappealing, as opposed to the forums which have a good setup.

I know it is a lot of work to change a front page but I am sure the webpage loses lots of users for lack of instant grab effect. I’m not one for flashy pictures but a more logical and user friendly front page would go a long way…wait there’s something more to this webpage then the forums… I never knew.

had an idea and remembered this thread.. anybody know if it is hard to set up our profile pages to be similar to the myspace ones where we can put our own music, pictures of our cars, messaging, your own lil 'for sale' section etc? that would be awesome. visiting other profiles would be a bit more entertaining.

Do you wanna pay for it? :D

if its under 10 bucks why not lol. how expensive would it be? thought it would more design work than dollars.. but i dont know anything about it, hence the questions

I think it's mostly the coding time that Prank will be putting into it... alone... un paid... and in his spare time...

I think you can tell just by looking at a few peoples post counts, that there is definately a lot here :D

understandable, but the reward will be worth the trouble i think, plus we could just start a website charity fund. I like the site and im prepared to help.. i know there is a lot of others that would also.

Oh man, the homepage sucks, I know it. Its on a long list of todo things. But the next few changes will be made within the next week including some nice new features. Homepage and new designs are coming soon.

Btw, no more carebear. :D

So yeh, give me a yell. I'm new to SAU but already you guys have proved more helpful than the professionals.

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
