Awww they're cute! I really hope they turn up safe and sound for you! I've got two cats too, and i know i'd be devastated if i were to lose them. I've just moved house and have been keeping them inside most of the time until they get used to the house. We've only been letting them outside while we're at home and one of them snuck off the other day and went walkies for a few hours, but he turned up at 11pm that same night, thank goodness...

I must ask, because I'm really interested to know. What drove you to post something up on here, anger? confusion? why are you so sure that everyone in Stafford are cat hating animal butchers? and that they have indeed placed your furry friends in a shallow grave?

you should be well aware of the damage wondering felines do to native animals, I'm not a cat hater but when it comes to protecting native wildlife i know what side I'm on.

sorry if this sounds like flamming because I'm really not, just seems to me like your jumping to conclusions?

Anger mostly. Missy has been missing for 6 months and buddy has been gone for 4 weeks. So it's probably not coincidence. I just thought if anyone else had pets they might like a warning about letting them go outside. Yeah I'm aware cats can hurt natives, so we fitted some big ass bells 'n stuff to both of them. Plus there aren't that many possums, bilbies etc in the city. Besides a possum would own a cat. At our last house in Oxley some jerk trapped Buddy, removed his collar, covered him in dirt and took him to the RSPCA as a 'stray'. So it does happen. We tried keeping them in but you can't have all the screens closed 24/7. They ate they're way out of a second story window and jumped to the ground. So we gave up and just let them out rather than have our screens chewed.

I think ur cats might have been up to no good and peeve someone off. It doesnt take much to trigger some ppls these day. From what your saying and the time they been missing, I dont think they're going to turn up anytime soon.

BTW does anyone around you have a greyhound or a whippet, as I've have personally seen the aftermath of such an incident, it not exactly pretty. Cause I think these are possibly the only 2 domesticate animal that will bowl a cat over.

thats good news about them being kitted out with bells and that :D

shame they have been missing for so long, the cat we have at home is a screen ripper too. We found some screen that is 'cat proof' they can't rip it apart because their claws get caught in the screen causes them some effort to release themselves from its grip. our cat doesn't even bother anymore just sits and waits.

+1 for possum destroying a cat, wouldn't even be a contest.

I didn't want them hurting natives so we got the loudest, most annoying bells possible. No greyhounds/whippets here anywhere. The neighbours have a maltese one side and 2 boston terriers on the other. But buddy was bigger than a terrier. I dont hold much hope at all about their return. At least the staffy can't get out of the yard....

We had a cat escape and run away, and it was found 7 weeks later, 10km away. I know it's looking grim but there's a chance you'll get at least one of your pets back!

There are some sick bastards out there though... :D

:D curiousity did'nt kill your cat ,my car did! :bunny::D:D:bunny:

Wow dude, you're super funny.

Buddy came home last night. His collar was missing and he had lost about 25% of his bodyweight. Was freaked out, hid under our bed after he ate about 3x his normal meal size of biscuits. Stayed there all night. Poor buggers traumatized. Least I got one back though :D:O

My wife has a hudini of a cat.. bugger can get out of a locked car!

If i can convice my wife to part with the monster.. he is yours to hire for a few weeks!

Seen him beat the living daylights out of/kill many things..

greyhound

poodle

great dane

persion cat

rooster

6 possums

3 foot wallaby..

2 foot goanna

man the list goes on. He is brutal, but she loves him none the less. and he has a very bad disposition about anything that comes ANYWHERE near him.. including my car!

I am quite sure NOBODY, even people who are nuts would take him on.. he looks so cute, but makes hitler look tame. The vet is scared of him, gave him 6 stiches! ohh, and she calls him 'Yowie'

rates are real cheap, and if you should loose the little freak, I wont be upset.

It would be like loosing that meddling mother in law!

PS, hope you don't loose you cat again. I know we cant keep her monster inside all the time..

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
