We came 15th out of 40 in class and 16th overall out of 74. We will be aiming for top 5 next time round. Might need a few more laps and better than OEM brakes to do it though. The cars probably good for a 1.14 set-up how Luke wants it...he was on a 1.16 on his last lap before stopping due to oil in engine bay.

What an awesome event :D

A big thank you and congratulations to the event organizers for putting on a spectacle which was well worth the time, money and effort to get the car down to Oran park to compete in.

Great turnout, atmosphere and live commentary. In my opinion it really helped the race teams see where they where in terms of ranking and the blow by blow battle between the R32's and Lotus's was fantastic to hear from a spectator point of view.

Was fun to watch the Hipower Racing CRX keep a few of the GT-R's and Evolution's honest in open class. The team is already planning out what it can do for the next event to improve on it's 1.19, wasn't too shabby considering it was a first time on Oran park for the car.

The point I'd like to stress for the next Superlap would have to be the call for more on-track marshals. I was standing at the closest spectator point to the roll over of the Evolution and it took way to long for the incident to be communicated to the drivers; or race control who were running on the circuit.

Looks like it was a great day, apart from the incidences of course.

I'm really dissapointed I couldn't get there, but what can ya do I guess... congrats to all that ran :D

What happened to the side of Adz's car? Sand trap?

Richard: Sheezus!! He drove around the track like that?

Thanks Beer Baron.

we had lots of fun in the silvia . 17th outright even beat lots of awds. 2nd fastest rwd and awarded best presented car. lots of sideways action.

how can you beat that. and i drove my own car.

I don't think the RX7 spilt any oil did it?

In his defence, it was probably just burning oil, not spilling it, since one of the seals blew.

Although why he went around another lap is beyond me.......................................... :P

Yeah i had a good look at the track after he went past and didnt see a drop. We probably dropped more oil than him. :(

Already got a decent catch can set-up (same as twoogle's) ready to go on the car to prevent the disaster we had on Saturday.

Hey DiRTgarage we were on a 1 min 10 before we broke traction.

Slot car came 6th. Missed the all important top 5 but considering the top 5 open class cars are big budget cars and teams, not so bad I guess with more in it. With softer rear springs required as she was oversteering a lot and bit less neg camber in front as inside tyres in front getting much hotter than outside and understeering a bit. Lots more in the car yet. This one was huge and next one cars will be better and event will be bigger.

Also big well done to Russ giving that R35 heaps and pushing it hard enough to come off the track, so not holding back. Also Mark just being beaten by those pesky Lotuses? Still awesome time though. Not sure how I will ever catch you guys, maybe a bigger rear wing??

Actual Times here.

Superlap TImes.

    • What can't be done with a little bit of decking board or similar timber bolted to a hub flange via 2 wheel nuts is not worth talking about.
    • I noticed something. On the tps sensor and the sensor behind the adjustment screw is adjusted towards the far left. Are these screws supposed to be centered? (this sensor was in the same position before the tune as well)  Also attached a photo of where my car usually idles at when warm (sometimes a tiny bit above that). I think I might have screwed up the calculation and it might have better than I thought lol at 750rpm still not 650rpm though.
    • So for both general interest of engine health, and to rule out any coolant/oil issues, I organised an oil analysis done on the 125,000klm oil Results below, all good, just a bit of fuel dilution which I'm not too worried about
    • This is actually a really good way of measuring what wheels fit. If only there was a similar measurement between hub face and suspension :p That said, it's probably pretty simple to actually measure it all with the wheel off the car for the rear. The front is a bit more complex but..
    • Being the top Google search result for R34 wheel-related inquiries, lemme throw down my experience. I calculated that 100mm from hub face to wheel face is about the perfect fitment for my ENR34 sedan.  I've been running 18x8.5s, ET35, with a 1" spacer. So, 8.5in to mm = 216mm. 216/2 = 108mm. 108-35 = 73mm. 73+ 25 (1" to mm) = 98mm.  If you wanna get close to this on dif widths, here are the offsets you'll want: 9" - ET around 15mm 9.5" - ET around 20mm 10" - you're crazy, but ET around 30mm All these should fit perfectly on a non-widebody, non-GTR Skyline. Note that it's probably the absolute max, and you're probably better off running a couple degrees of camber in this config, but it looks great, super flush.
