I have heard a couple of different opinions.

The two main ideas are thus -

A) yes, you need to have a spare and it must be in RWC (tread, age, size, condition etc)

B) No, you do not need to carry a spare, but if you do have one it must be in RWC.

THing is that it sits under a false floor in the cargo area of the stagea and im thinking about running a hefty stereo incorporating said enclosure.

Whats the story?

Congratulations! You get a star, and first choice of toy at morning tea!

Thanks for answering the question. Yes i know what not having a spare tyre entails.

Any input on the actual topic, mate?

the answer is B. If you have a spare it must be road worthy but if you dnt, you dont need one. Cause if u dont have a spare well bad luck u sit there but you wont be putting an unroadworthy spare and driving on a unroadyworthy tyre therefor a defective vehicle.
