There is another grand prix circuit practice day on Tuesday the 1st of April!

All you people working on Sunday come to this one.

I'll keep you updated :)

I'll see how the car goes this sat...might need new pads...among other things :P

Actually - looking at it now theres a good chance my car will need a break! :D

we'll see though!

20th North Circuit

23rd Grand Prix Circuit

25th South Circuit

31st North Circuit

April

1st Grand Prix Circuit

Must have at least a Cams level 2 Speed Licence

Cost is $130

Starts at 9.30am till 4.30pm

"Must have at least a Cams level 2 Speed Licence"... that sounds bad (for me).

Sorry for the question - but how does one get a level 2 licence, particularly by the 31st?

I don't think I'll like the answer... :D

I'd really like to do Oran park before I move interstate in mid-April.

Easy as, its just a form you send off and a small fee :)

PM me if you want help with it

Thanks Steve-O, I might take you up on that :P

I'm just having a quick look at the form and it seems you need to be in a 'Cams affliliated car club'.

That'd my first hurdle, I think :P

Cheers

Guess who's one of those clubs? :P

Really? Heh... I did think of SAU but thought nah...

Anyway I'll go through the form fully tommorrow when I'm more coherant and if I get stuck I'll call for help.

Goodnight :P

Ill have the GTR brakes done by then so might take both cars for a thrash and spend some time to get the bias and suspension working together again.

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
    • looking forward to your t56 swap man its a game changer if it works!
