Oh, theres an EC L2S day coming up

For sure!

Brakes bleed up today, transmission will be built tomorrow. So its all looking like it will be ready to go.

There is a few regulars going out so its shaping up to be a really good day out.

Yeah Im looking forward to it.

Haven't done a 'khana for a while (DECA/Texi) and Im back on my street tyres so I'll be out having fun - even if I have no chance and will be drifting a bit!! :whistling:

same its been ages since I was out on a decent skid pan.

Im going to use the old street tires as well and RWD to go with it. 400Kw all to the rears should be interesting to say the least.

Just need to find some rims to clear the new brakes

mine also makes over 400kw at all four wheels and on 4 year old street tyres that are hard as rocks was still blowing away he rotors i love smoking past them

I've heard quite a bit about your car, seems to be one of or maybe the only one that's very quick in NSW.. :)

So what times were you doing at OPGP?? That way all the guys doing the superbattle can have an idea of what they should be chasing (besides giant)...

my work shop is next door to oran park so the car has been there lots of times it can do 1.12 around full track and 47 short track on the old track at wake field on street tyres and no sway bars 105 flat the times are on nat soft we are pulling the engine out this week to do some more work gaints car looks like an animal going around the track

Fark me!!! 1:05 at Wakie on street tyres!!!! Looks like there's going to be some stiff competition at superbattle... :)

Tell me your going to go new semis for this event??!?!

Jason Bobby was chatting to you this afternoon. Ive got to arrange to drop past and pick up some sway bars this week.

After tunning my car that night at Adam's I got bored and went back for more a week or so latter.

You may remember you walked in at the end of the tune, Grey GTR fully caged with massive cams and external gates.

hi buddy how did the car go in the end i got myself an r34 gtr v spec now as well

Nice, ill drop past and have a look possibly today.

I was doing a few things to Bobby's R34 Nur yesterday when the bars came up in conversation again.

Mine has now made 440, its enough to get into trouble with, Had it at wakefield a few weeks back but broke a box and the brakes failed so was happy with 9's.

Ive since fitted F50 brembos and repairing the box today.

With my extra 100Kw and all new suspension set-up (ohlins, swaybars etc etc) I was actually slower at wakefield. Once I get the suspension working properly again it should be much faster than before. Not to mention it should stop now too.

Are you happy with the suspension Chris or is there more to be had??

Ive been using a pyrometer lattely and was seriously unaware of how uneven my tire temps actually were, for test and tune days like the L2s ones they are an excellent tool to have.

Hey Brad,

Yeah I actually use low boost which is 9 - 10psi (round 200rwkw) at the track just to keep things a bit, well, looked after as my car and motor are basically stock!

Suspension is ok I guess? I did a day at OP North on sat, only understeered in the wet/damp parts, but sat pretty well when dried out. Didnt open wheel this time either but I just feel I need a bit more front camber. Duncan told me about that temp guage thingy for tyres! Yeah would be good to use one!

    • Just one more post to show the final result and the original "janky" solution for a laugh. Everything feels really tight and no wobbling at all, very pleased 🙂
    • After drying a few days, time to put her back together
    • The hot exhaust light will come on not from just the cat being blocked, but it's just a temp sensor, and it's designed to warn you to not do things like park in long grass.   If you've been pushing the motor a bit, it can cause the light to come on.   Second if the cat is rattling, I'd suspect it's not blocked, but instead falling apart inside.   The easiest "fix" until you can get a cat put back in, is to unbolt your one, bash the rest of the insides out, and then bolt it back in.   For a daily driver/street car, I am in agreeance of put a cat in the car. If it were race car I wouldn't care if it were removed.
    • No worries at all 🫡 I think the most satisfying things to make are the little bits that are just impossible to find or they're no longer manufactured. Generally I always try to replace parts with OEM wherever possible. This little project is also great because it'll never see the light of day, but strengthen these brackets so it's not just relying on the little standard screws in the headlight plastic. As soon as I saw the standard brackets and screws I thought, "well I'm not going to install with just the screws, the plastic tabs will just snap off". It's crazy how expensive everything has become yeah. But I suppose that's supply and demand; granted it's a lot easier to get brand new genuine parts these days which is fantastic 😊, I don't have to get totally reamed at the local Nissan dealer ha ha We sure are lucky we have all these manufacturers making parts these days, a few really great Australian companies too like Platinum Racing Products and Fit Mint Automotive, what a time to be alive ❤️ . I've got my eye on the RB26 head by PRP as mine has a very fine hairline crack, so that'll need to be addressed some time in the future. If you have any requests or odd things to make feel free to let me know and I can have a crack at making replacement parts ✌️
