hi all

my clutch pedal is toast and its all wonky and wobbly

i had my local mechanic fix up my slave cyclinder and thats all sorted

but its still about the same, he said the slave was toast but now he is saying the pedal box is shagged to

so its better but the pedal is still floppy etc. ive done some searching and it seems common for the pedal box to die

a few guys just weld it up and its ok etc. they want $200 for the part 2nd hand and $350 to fit it to the car

the car drives ok, selects gears reasonably ok, so the cluthc itself is ok its just clunky and hard to get it in gear - like the pedal is awkward

is this part what i need ?

and is it the same as..

http://www.nengun.com/nismo/clutch-pedal-bracket

like would it be the whole assembly or just the metal thats toast?

logic says to me its just the metal bracket as they checked the master cylidner and bled it etc and said its fine

if it is at all the same as 32's and s13's then it will give out eventually. mine did at deca. they are a crap design. just take it out and weld the crap out of all the joints.

Hi there mate, Can you tell me the proceedure for removing and refitting the clutch pedal box and have you seen the replacement item from nismo to assess how much better it is than the original.I am A first class welder so re-welding it wouldn't be a problem, just need to know how it is removed and whether to re-weld it or buy the nismo one.Anyone had a Nismo one break??

Mine hasn't gone yet but I am about to replace the clutch with a Jim Berry 4000lb clamp one and want to be prepared for this problem occurring,if I can get the info I need I will probably get the job done before I get stranded out on the highway somewhere.Cheers Grey Pearl

hi gary

i put the nismo one in my car, it just has more seem welds on it, nothing more really

you would be by far better off getting yours welded yourself to make it craploads stronger

i think its just 4 bolts against the main frame/firewall and the clutch cylinder vac thingy

    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
