Bonnet Won't Open

Hi all, I've just had my skyline for 3 weeks and now I am unable to open the bonnet. It was difficult at first and would take a couple of tries, however, now it just will not open. It seems like there is a problem with the eject lever in the cabin. When the hood would pop open I would hear a little click when the bonnet sort of popped out of the latch. Anyway, anyone know how to fix this? I went to show a friend my car but was unable to pop the hood. Needless to say it was a little bit embarrassing.....

check to c if the cable hasnt come off the lever and if it hasnt get sum1 to push down on the bonnet when u pull the lever sumtimes that works

Cable snapped maybe? To get my bonnet open, it requires quite a lot of force to open and I wouldn't be surprised if it snapped one day.

if the lever under your dash feels soft/loose, i'd say you need to tension the cable in the engine bay. from memory you can do this near where it attaches to the bonnet latch.

If the bonnet latch does move, but the bonnet doesnt open, I usually get a screw driver, put a rag around it to protect the paint, and lever it up. But this only works if the latch does, otherwise you'll just chip your paint. Good luck!

Hey all,

I still have the same damn problem. I can open the bonnet by holding down on the edge in the middle while someone uses the lever in cabin. It looks like I just need to adjust the latch/cable. Could someone please tell me how this can be done? Any help would be much appreciated.
