Do it, its soooooo much fun...

Just remember to wear long sleeve shirt and long pants, have a helmet with an Aussie approval sticker and your set to go...

Oh and turn off the A/C before you get to the line, cause if your dropping water they will make you go back to the end of the line...

But apart from that, its awesome fun...

Quick get him, he drives an auto...

Ummm, give me a go and ill tell ya...

Nah seriouslly you can launch hard with autos...

1. Do a skid on the pad.

*Cause is makes the tyres sticky

*It gives you a good shot of adrenaline

*Most importantlly it cleans the tyres

2. Stage the car using the stage lights

3. Apply the foot break with the left foot pretty hard

4. Start to put your right foot into the throttle

*This will basiclly stall up the car and it will sit on netural boost and maby even start to build a little boost.

*Use less throttle then for the skid otherwise your car may begin to skid

5. When the lights go green let your left foot off the brake and stab the right to the floor.

6. Cross the line and down shift and brake safelly

Thats pretty much what I would do with and auto.

If you find the rear wheels what to skid when your staged or you want to launch a bit harder, then maby try a bit of handbrake also to keep them still while your stalling up the car.

It all depends on how much power your car has and what suspension/tyres you are using as to how the car will react on the line.

But hey thats what test and tunes are about, go down the quarter 5 or 6 times trying different ways and see for yourself which is the fastest.

There is probablly better advice on these forums than what i wrote above and if you want some great advice just pm "markr34gtr" as that is Mark Jacobson as in the owner and driver of the godzilla motorsports R32 GTR. He is one of the fastest GTR's in the world and has been down the q/mile more than the rest of the forum put together...

Most importantlly have fun...
