Hi all,

I am a little bit curius about a switch on my '03 V35 Sedan. It sits to the right of the "VDC Off" button and is connected to something in behind the panel where the DVD-ROM drive for the GPS sits. Does anyone have any idea what it does?? Is it something to do with the optional card reader thingy that some cars have?

I have some pictures if that helps

I have the same looking switch in mine on the right side of the VDC switch, except it says TV/NAV on it. What it does on mine is it connects to a little unit that bypasses the handbrake required to view TV while driving.

Question - where is your boot release switch? And what is that button to the left on the first pic. Looks like it says auto?

Well i am unfortunately a shmuck who does not have a boot release  That and cruise control are the only two things i want on the car i dont have as yet.

The button that says auto is the one that automatically lowers my two side mirrors to point towards the ground when i select reverse. It is good and bad that function as sometimes it doesnt help at all!!

How r u gonna open your boot? with a key? Is yours a series 1 V35 Sedan with the 'doggie door flap' on the boot?

Hehe, nah it has a push button release on the boot handle!

Good old manual opening never hurt anyone......

yep thats it!

the right of the panels looks like its been changed too..

someone mush have played around with the area

the smaller button on the left is for the side mirrors - when pressed in it activates the side mirrors to drop down when the car is in reverse.. dealer-fitted option.

Worked out last night its a bypass switch to play vids while moving :D

Handy seen as i just got my iPod working on it yesterday! Will be posting some pics of the approach i took. Similiar to most, just that i used a different iPod dock which is currently available at Dick Smith.
