10j -7 Wheel On The Back Of A Stag?

Recommended Posts

see Grant that last pic is MY idea of VIP - not taking sides I am just saying that in my humble opinion that last pic is a good " all round " package.. subtle and well sorted and elegant.

( other than the fact that front lip is probably a major PITA over speedhumps )

i kinda went to a more oldschool way with the huge amounts of camber, stupid offsets etc etc

the Stagea is getting the VIP treatment as well, just to prove to US guys it can be done to something other than a traditional platform

lol Grant that black beast looks horrid with the camber/wheels as they are pictured

each to their own for sure !!! obviously !!! :laughing-smiley-014:

loved the stagea photo with it sitting so low on those wheels. looked really good IMO, show style. ie set it like that for car displays, but for driving again Id be raising it somewhat (as I wouldnt be able to get down into it !!!!) lol

keep at it matey. keep at it.

id LOVE to vip mine... thats half the reason i went black... But there really arent any kits available. Only issue is, that the stagea (as far as wagons go) are a very driveable car, and i dont want to lose that. Love the look of alex's wheels. Im not sure what brand of coilovers are in it, but if i can adjust the height then doooown they will go. One thing i WILL not do, is sacrifice handling and performance for looks.

I dunno, I like the VIP thing, but not the over-the-top old-skool massive negative camber style with a huge rear lip spoiler and super-low front lip. I prefer the dumped look using a subtle kit and big offset, deep dish wheels, etc. but that's still practical for Aussie roads.

Grant, I'm guessing the roads you experience in Japan (and America, for that matter) are much smoother than those we get here in Australia, so the practicality factor is a major one for us, not to mention the road rules we have to put up with.

With my Stagea, I'm a big fan of the kinds of cars that people use as a daily, but still punt around as a weekend racer, the kinds of cars that have a few well-chosen performance mods and a hint of the racer hidden underneath - kinda like a Q-car. I absolutely LOVE the way your Stagea looked when you dumped it over the XD-9's, and have been keen on getting some CE28N's or RE30's. I know it's never going to be a "proper" racer, but just like you (and most of us, to some extent) I love to mod something out of the ordinary.

actually our roads are horrible

ive ripped off my sideskirts already, cracked my front lip in a few places. and thats all driving at full up

according ot my good friend, his roads in his area of australia are better than ours here in tokyo. and they are as bad near his parents house (like 2 hours away) i dunno the cities, but i can guarantee our roads suck as well.

its a pay to play type thing

you wreck some stuff, you wreck some stuff, charge it to the game.

this is my Wives UCF11

full garson interior (tan.pink custom), wald version 3 full aero (no lips here) exhaust, lock smice coilovers(these pictures have jacked up air ride) and liek 3 grand in garson parts on the interior

Hey Grant, good to see you back. I like what you're doing too..... mainly so that that I can raise my eyebrows :D ha ha...

The forum needs a little shakin up at times......

If you want to see what happens in Aus when you go a little low, see this recent run......http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209843&view=findpost&p=3738194

The poor guy was only about 30mm under legal.... luckily he had adjustable shocks, otherwise he'd have been walking home!!

So don't blame us old farts for keepin it legal.... we all look at our cars differently.

I like mine fairly stock, helps keep the resale up a tad, maybe if they were as plentiful and cheap as in Japan,... it'd be different.

Anyway the fiestiness of the replies was funny..... and remember that us Aussies don't have to laugh at ourselves.... that's why we have Americans!!

By the way.... it's no good asking Mitchy for directions to another forum on Stagea's ..... he can't even find the one for Legnums!! :laughing-smiley-014:
