Noisy gearbox!

My gearbox has started to get whine alot. Especially the first 3 gears. I have checked the oil level and it was fine. It doesnt worry me if its not a problem apart from the sound, but i dont want to have a blown gearbox as its my daily driver

maybe try some redline shockproof g/box oil. do a search on redline oil and you'll get heaps of info...

No joke.... Put a banana peel in it when you go to sell it and it will stop the wining for a few weeks.... Loads of dodgy people do it...

In the mean time just change the oil and drive it not allot you can do but wait til she blows.... There are a few stop wining products aviable at super cheap however i think they just thicken the oil and that not always a good thing....

Yep my input shaft bearings has been whinning like fark since I bought the car.. 2yrs +

Its gets a little louder when I really hammer it with flat changes but then slowly goes away again if i drive it normal just with out flat changes

I've slapped Nulon G70 in there when I first got the car and it quietened it down especially when idling with the clutch out but now the G70 doesn't seem to do anything as it is now to loud.

Idling around in a car park it almost sounds like a straight cut gearbox.

It seems to just keep hanging in there.

I use VMX80 + Nulon G70. Not sure if the G70 is what is helping it hang in there but it can't not help as its damn slippery stuff when you feel it.
