Paint Stripper On Gtr Plenum?

Hey,

the paint/coating on my gtr plenum has started to go crap (cracked off and now its half black and half bare metal) to get the remaining paint of can i just use paint stripper then sand it back and paint it again with some high temp eng. paint?

yer man theres this paint stripper you use its in a paint tin you apply it with a paint brush but be worned its some potant shit man and then yer paint it with what ever i think steve was referring to hammertone

I would be careful with the paint stripper and aluminium...Some of the paint strippers I have used may attack the aluminium and dull it severley...test on a section that you can normally see!!

Yeah and take the plenum off when you do it, I wouldn't want that stuff anywhere else in my engine bay.
