Hello guys,

i think some of you know High Energy sumps for our RB25DET engines, i would really like to get a PRO CIRCUIT LARGER CAPACITY SUMP with 8.5l capacity.

However i think it seems nearly impossible for me to get this item, let me explain why.

First off, i discovered this sump at uniqueautosports.com, i think i wrote them already about 5 emails that i really would like to buy

a sump, however no one replied to me unfortunately. :D

My next station was justjap.com i wrote two emails to them which wasn't answered, then contacted Steve from justjap.com here by a private message who told me to place an order by email what i did and which wasn't replied again. :(

At this point of time i started realizing that these shops dont want to make money or the dont want to hassle arround with High Energy Sumps as they can't earn much on them or whatever. :ermm:

After that disappoinment i tried to contact High Energy ( highenergy.com.au) directly by email twice and wanted to place an order with them, however there was no one replying again.:down::down:

My last station was etperformance.com.au, i did also wrote two emails to them that i really would like to order one sump, but again no one answered me. :ninja:

So whats wrong with all those shops ? Why is no one wanting to sell me a sump ? I have already a good sump waiting in australia for exchange.

Did some of you guys had the same experience ? Where did you get your High Energy Sumps from ?

The problem for me is that my engine is nearly finished and i would like to install a bigger sump before putting the engine in the car, so i need such a sump as soon as possible.

I would be very thankful if you guys could help me.

Here's a picture of what i'm trying to get for about half a year.

I got mine through Darron @ JustJap... they were on back order so it took a few weeks

ps. they don't make the 8.5L for the RB25... you will need it made custom... I have the 6.5L and Al on here has a 7L but his was fouling on the swaybar... 8.5L would be a stretch I reckon

EDIT: just realised your 25 is in an S13... you will have even less room for a big sump

When we need a HE sump, I always have to send them a standard one to upgrade. I find the telephone is a good communication device, much more reliable than email.

BTW, we make swaybars to clear HE sumps in most applications, PM me for details.

Cheers

Gary

ET Performance Products and High Energy are exactly the same company. I have an 8.5L gated and baffled Pro Bracket sump pan from them and they couldn't have been any easier to deal with over the phone.

Call them, speak to them and have no problems. It's pretty simple.

What is so hard about picking up the phone and calling?

When I spoke to High Energy via PHONE they were more then helpful for me!

You call them. Tell them what you want. Send your sump to them and let them sort the rest out.

I have also found many companies in the auto industry are shithouse when you contact them via email.

IMO they shouldn't have an email address if they're not going to use it, but once you know the phone is better you don't bother emailing..

sounds like he's not in oz judging by the comment 'i have a sump waiting in australia'

had similar problems buying various items from shops in oz, in almost all cases it works out easier making it yourself or buying from japan or the us

best of luck

That's right, the RB25DET will move into my S13. However i have already special made brackets which are relocating the sway bar lower, so it will at least clear the oem RB25 sump.

So the custom 8.5l sump is ~ 100,00 AUSD more expensive then the 6.5l one but i could still order it ?.

As i'm actually located in germany i'm trying to get parts from abroad always by email first, not by phone.

    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
    • One year is a bit concerning. Did you try contacting GSP? It says 5 year warranty on the box if I remember correctly. I'm also running their driveshafts on my S2 Stagea.   You could check the part numbers on Amayama for your year. Here's the link for my 1998 which gives the 39100-23U60 part number. Well, that and 39100-23U70. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/trans/391 What does it say for yours?
    • I ordered a GSP Front R/H Axle from here - https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-front-driveshaft-r-h-nissan-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-stagea-4wd#description It lasted around a year before one of the boots blew out. I'm lowered, but I have GKTech roll center adjusters. One year seems a little premature. I think I'm going to spend the extra money on an OEM cv axle this time. This website - https://tfaspeed.com/collections/nissan-stagea-wgnc34-x-four-parts/products/nissan-stagea-awc34-260rs-rb26-right-front-axle-drive-assembly Makes it sound like the readily available OEM CV axle will only fit 11.1999 Stagea and up (mine is a 2.1997 S1). The JustJap listing didn't mention any years or anything for the GSP axle. Amayama shows '11.1999' and up as well for that part number. As well as 'plastic boot type'. See attached picture. So I guess my question is, does that axle (39100-23U60) really only fit S2 Stagea? It's the front driver side. If it does, I'd love to buy that instead of rolling the dice on another GSP. I've found that OEM one cheaper here: https://www.partsfornissans.com/oem-parts/nismo-jdm-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-r32-gts4-right-front-axle-3910023u60 and here https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts/nismo-shaft-ft-drive-3910023u60 Just a little confused because the JapSpeed listing for the GSP front driver axle doesn't mention any specific years or anything and it fit my S1 Stagea fine. So will 39100-23U60 fit my S1 Stagea even though technically it says '11.1999' and up? What would have changed? Thanks.
    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
