Who has used the SARD 280l fuel pump?

Whats it like to fit?

How much noise?

Lasted ok?

As good or nearly as good as the nismo item etc??

Can handle 300kws??

Is it a straight drop in? Do i need anything else with it?

Just i can get one a bit cheaper than the nismo item.

Cheers

Also while people are looking can you answer this. if i bought 700cc injectors they would be big enough for what im after. But i can get a cheap set of 800cc injectors, to big for what im after. would this cause any problems etc?

i spoke to dom at protek when i got my car tuned, and the sard 280 for the 33 is a drop in replacement, he also recomended the bosch 044 (direct fit, just have to use the existing fuel pickup line and filter). my aims are 280awk and he said it would be fine, hope this helps.

The bosch is not a drop in fit for R32 GTR, so i went with a 500hp sard (not sure how many liters that is). Nice easy fit - no extra noise. The bosch would have required me to throw away the pump cradle, so i would have lost pickup depth and sound insulation.

The first answer;

280 litres per hour = 4.667 litres per minute = 4,667 cc's per minute = 6 x 778 cc per minute injectors.

But the important question;

280 litres per hour AT WHAT PRESSURE?

Cheers

his got a point with pressure thou. because it might flow enough fuel for 600hp.. but @ 70psi. most regs run 40-50 hence not enough fuel flow

Btw.. why would u change ur fuel pump a GTR anyway? they flow like 276lts of fuel @ stock pressures anyways!

i got 289awkw @ 15psi and i was runnin 17.5psi b4 the rebuild... thats over 300awkws and never had a fuel problem.

stock GTR pump is closer to 190l/h, not 276 as you mentioned.

really?? so whats the theoretical hp limit on a gtr pump?? as far as a dyno figure goes.. im on 287.8awkw @ 15.2psi.. but i run 17psi now instead... so i should be seeing either just under 300 or just over 300... and the afr was pretty good
