hey guys - we *should* be there - but I am going to start the stereo install on the stagea , and depending on the progress I may or may not be there for the cruise. Obviously if the cars in a fit state to come along we will be there!

that is the most p1ss weak excuse i have ever heard for a pre-emptive "get out of cruise free" attempt.

Man up and be there.

well to be honest I thought I would get in early as I dont gotz no intarweb at home

nah.. i will just busta hump and I am sure I will get it done -weather permitting!

Well just so that you all know, The map is set, and hopefully no-one will get lost.... if you do it won't be the fault of the instructions!!

I have added the aforementioned quiz, it's about 30 questions, every other one is either on Perth, or Stagea's..... some are fairly tough.... so now you know why we are called the SWAT.... he he!

Pretty good prizes for the winners (and for the people that don't get so many right).

There may also be a couple of spot prizes for ..... well wait and see!!

Looking forward to a fun day, with lots of smiles!!

Just don't do any rain dances.....

And really Shane it isn't that hard to install a stereo..... besides you have Friday and Saturday.....

Cheers Guys

yer well i feel like a dodo... reading it as saturday not sunday... damn hang overs.

ill come down for the meet point but that is about it..

the car is under warranty, but still dont want it to break and not have it for weeks on end.

Great work John!

I'm sooo excited to meet other Stagea owners and see lots of Stags together! Talk shop about potential performance upgrades, etc. Plus get lots of pics

I'll have to get the polish out tomorrow and make sure our car aka "Ag" is looking his Sunday best :P

Can you email me a copy of the map, because as previously mentioned I may have to try and catch up/ meet up enroute.

See you all there!

James

Oh well the latest forecast on the weather is: some showers, possible thunderstorm!! Don't let this put you off. We are bringing a couple of very large garden umbrellas, and some rope to tie them down! if anyone wants to bring a tarp and ropes... be my guest.

The maps will be given out at Burswood.

Just a note on the quiz.... The quiz is written to keep pace with the cruise. Some questions will need to be answered as you go by certain points, (or at least these points remembered, if you are on your own). All of the Stagea questions can be answered at any time. I accidentally repeated one question, but you won't get double points for answering it twice! There is a 1st prize, so no conferring at meet points, you can go through it all at the end.

Everyone will get something, just for showing up.

So, looking forward to seeing all the old faces and new ones......

See you there.

John

got the info from chuckie last night been a bit out of touch with the forum lately but going to be there.

Hey chuckie how much fuel did you use last night I went through 1/4 a tank. Glad I don't drive my girl every day.

Karl never look at that when we are out on an evening like that ???,i think that 20 litre`s may be more ??,rev`s never under 4,500/5000,so it goes through a bit but, you we`er with front boy`s & they we`er quick, the wrx hurt going up to martin he had no idear on the road which i do use often,2nd/3rd got work out, need some sway bar`s would make it alot better, see you sunday.

started the stag to head on down to say hi and the 4wd relay went nuts!

 didnt want to risk it... once she is all fixed ill be there for sure next time ok

hope you all had a good time!!

sorry we didnt make it

the stereo install is just taking a LOT longer than I anticipated. I really dunno wtf is taking all the time to be honest !!!

but I have run the cabling for the rear speakers thru the factory harness ( so you cant see another set of wires near the door hinges ) and yeah just stuff like that takes forever.

( HINT- get some whipper snipper cord -pass it thru the wiring harness - and tie the cable to it- pull back )

and all the running around we had to do on sunday ( picking up the power cable etc )

so all thats really left to do now is to get the seats back in ( only drivers in right now )

and connect all speakers to amp etc.

I drove the stag into work today ( so I can piss off early and finish the install ) haha.. kinda funny driving a stagea buit for 1 !

so yeah hope you all had fun ! shame bout the weather

( I had to go fit some lightbulbs for mum and get the power cable so I did all that when it was raining )

sorry we didnt make it

Now it's a p1ss weak excuse!

if you could drive to work today, how come you couldn't have chucked the passenger seat back in and come out yesterday.

If you had you would have missed all the rain, we did, not one 'brolly reqd.

Next time we'll try to give you more notice!!!

Shamus, you missed out on a really good day. I hope everyone enjoyed the map and the quiz. I enjoyed making them and getting and giving the prizes.

Steve and Mandy won the 1st prize.... (T-shirt)

Leroy and Penny won 2nd (flask)

I guess that I should say that Supercheap in Melville donated the socket set (3rd prize), which was won by Daniel and Dale.

The best all-around answer for "I love my Stagea because?" was from Graham..... "cos everything else sucks!"

Thanks guys for all the photo's and supporting the day, just a pity that a few more didn't make it..... still I think that it rated well.

Rebold Hill look out was something.........talk about take over the car park!

Looking forward to the next one..... hopefully I helped to "lift the bar" a little.

A bit more organisation, (and help) and we could have had much better prizes. So I am going to offer my help to whoever wants to do the next one. I reckon that I can get a few good prizes out of people if we try hard. I once did a combined car club quiz night, and we had prizes for the top 16 tables!! First prize was a weekend for 6 in Albany, including the fuel to get there!! 2nd a weekend for 2 in Perth.

Something like that might a few more turner-uppers!!

    • I've been pondering this, I really enjoy the convertible thing, for me, it's like riding a motorbike, without all the issue of riding a motorbike, mainly, my old sore arthritic joints getting beaten up, and, being able to do it in shorts and a T-shirt and not needing a helmet and all the other gear required, especially like wearing jackets and pants in the summer, or needing 6 layers of cloths in the winter, or not having wet weather gear handy when your 100km away from home on the bike when it decides to start raining As for the hard top and its Coupe look, whilst I do lose all that open top feeling that I really enjoy, from my experience with the NB with a detachable hard top, the cabin is a much nicer place to be, the difference in noise for one, a hard top quietens down the interior, alot, with the soft top up or down it's pretty noisy, which, after 5 or so hours, can get tiring But, as you stated, the detachable hard top totally changes the look of the car, in a really good way, and for me, the look of a detachable hard top is so much better than the PRHT which looks more like a after thought with its weird bulbous rear roof line For me, the minimal effort of putting in on, or storing it after removing it, is well worth the time and effort for the look alone And yes, I'm sure the next owner will be grateful for it as well.......
    • I get into huffs with people when I suggest the MX5 looks so much better as a coupe than it does as convertible. Pretty sure I don't prefer the convertible version of anything. Good job on the hardtop! The next buyer will appreciate.
    • IMO wrap does have its uses, but like you said, quality wrap, and professional installation, would probably cost want a quality paint job does, but, the paint, if maintained, is basically for life, and much easier to touch up if required  In other news: it's pissing down here, with thunder, lightning and only some small hail "at this stage", luckily all "my" cars are undercover  I've also been contacted by a guy in Newcastle about the SS, he said he will come down next weekend for a look, we'll see how that transpires I guess 🫰
    • Nah, I'm not an a-hole, ha ha!   I do like the colour match. Some of the carbon fibre wraps are quite freaking horrible. There's one a local company I know uses, and it looks damn good! Also very very expensive per metre to buy! ha ha ha It might be cheaper to respray the roof than use the good CF Wrap, ha ha!
    • Please noooooooo 😭 As for wrap, no thank you mate, I've seen and used "carbon fibre" wrap before, and for these hard tops, they look soooo good when colour matched Like this >>>
