hey guys,

just got a brand new safc2 the other week and i'm wanting to install it myself, but cannot read japanese (funny that)... does anyone know of a website (tried apexi usa - no help as they only have the original safc documentation) or can help tell me where what wire needs to go where into the ecu, i already know what ecu i have and where each needs to be wired up, i'm just stuck on the actual wires from the unit and what each colour represents in relation to where it goes in the ecu..... i have sourced out this much sofar by myself can someone tell me whether i'm on the right track or not....

my ecu is N4-a - (1994 R33 gts-t series 1)

of the six wires i understand that need to be wired up.....

RED = IG Power

GREEN = RPM signal

BLACK = Ground

YELLOW = Airflow/Pressure Signal OUTPUT

WHITE = Airflow/Pressure Signal INPUT

BROWN = ???

on the ecu diagram it has RPM Signal, Ground, Airflow Signal, Throttle Signal and IG Power - (so that's only 5 connections and from what i understand i have one connection going nowhere, one too many airflow/pressure signals and no throttle signal...

many thanks :D

(now i'm really confused - just didn't think i should stuff something up which has to be connected to the ecu).:uh-huh:

the brown wire is also a 'ground' it goes on the same wire as the black wire however it is to be tapped in closer to the ecu from memory.

You should also have one wire that goes to the knock sensor, you have a choice of two. In the diagram you will notice a (1) and a (2) pinout from the ecu. The best choice is the number 1 knock sensor.

If you do a search in the forced induction thread you will find the wiring codes.
