Hey inthisglass, where do i go and learn? i'm from melb

Consider joining the club for a start....

Also check http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/20...en-t198251.html

Check the events section of the Vic forum on here.

DriverDynamics runs some great events where you can learn your car under instruction, there not too expensive.

I'd highly recommend there advanced driving course...(I've done the level 2 version only).

Oh, and most importantly you must learn the search...there's a lot of info on these forums.

Regards,

Gareth

well im from W.A so we have an AHG driving centre that teaches defensive and performance driving

not sure about melbourne but im sure if you rang up your local licencing center they would let you know about any places that do that sort of thing

also ask in your state section on the forums as the people there would have the info you need.

Hey Gaval and welcome to owning a high performance RWD car. They are loads of fun but definitely something to understand and appreciate before you start driving it (in my opinion). I would strongly strongly recommend sending a PM to this fella http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/m3810.html (Kev) who is probably the most famous driver training dude for the public in Australia :(. He runs a variety of events, in particular a skid pan, which he can show in practice the theoretics of driving RWD cars. All the best.

Well, tis the first time i've driven a RWD :ermm: so i'm still learning plus i know noting about cars..hehe

My best advice is: Until you can push the limits of your car in a SAFE environment, take it easy! By safe i mean on a skidpan day, track day, advanced driver training day etc.

If you are baffled about the reason for oversteer in the wet then you desperately need some training and experience before you can use that car without killing yourself or someone else.

All the best with it mate and welcome to SAU.
