yeah thats true... heaps of R33's on our side of town. there are only 2 R34 GTT's that i usually see too. a white and yellow stockie.

never seen many 32 R's except for that blue one (i think its a fake tho).

haven't seen many real 33 R's either. prolly the time of day...

EDIT: but you know whats the MOST common car here in the westside?!?!? vn commodore wif stockies on the back maaayte! :P

->R33 series 1 (F!@#en heaps of em)

->R32 stockies (most of em thinking they are GTR's)

->R34 begginging to c heaps of em. heaps...especially after 2f2f

->R33 GTR (aaaawwww goshhhila)

->R32 GTR

->R33 Series 2

->R31

not being biased in anyway cause i have r33 s2. but seriously i have seen more r34 and r32 gtr 's over r33 s2 on my side of town.

and i would even toss up between R34 and R33 GTR (ranking wise)...lately i have seen a fair few r33 GTR's. goshhhila.

but lets not get into this conversation involving other turbo performance vehicles. ie: s13, 14 15, rexies, 200sx, 300 zx etc.. etc... we will be here forever. as long as i dont have a rexy as being the most common turbo car on the street ill b happy. not dissing them but every every tom dick and harry has em. Including 80 yr olds! lol.

Megs... they'll see you in that and just assume your a pimp :P

And it's all areas. My new GF comes from oakliegh so i'm driving from tulla to oakliegh a bit and i see 40+ guys driving them.

Not having a go at anyone, but these guys aren't club minded or enthusiasts... they just in a mid life crisis :D

there's more oldies behind r33's wheels than r32, but it'll change next yr.

seems to be the way everywhere i go too... i see maybe 2 R32s a week, whereas i see at least 20 R33s.... all of which driven by many different varieties of people.

The last 3 R32s ive seen 2 of them have been driven by women (excluding monkeyboi... i mean the real type of women.... :D) Black GTST and a Red GTS...

Perhaps it depends on where u live.... i couldnt give two shits who drives em... they dont drive mine and thats exactly what my skyline is... MINE

wait till you're 40+ and see if u don't have mid life crisis :D

unless u can have menopause perhaps... hehehe

soarers are more targeted to mid 30s-40+ executives anyway, so was reflected in their new prices back in japan.

anyway by skyline prices when they were new, I don't think there were many young drivers drove them in japan, probably ppl around 25-35 is my guess. younger drivers in jpn would probably go for 180sx at that time.

In australia, ppl who used to be around 18-24 back in 1993 when they released the R33, really wanted that car and couldn't afford it back then, (just like me). Then now, 10 yrs later, those ppl including me would be around their 30s. So they buy the R33 and drive them around. Someone in their 60s in TAS also offered to buy my R33 last year but I'm not selling. Those ppl could also be an enthusiast not just mid life (or late life) crisis, but doesn't mean they have to have a club and cruise around every week. There's other clubs beside SAU to accommodate Skyline drivers, such as the Nissan Club, and my guess some members can be 40+ and drove around in their 260-280ZXs.

On the other hand, 2nd hand prices for R32-R33 would be darn cheap now and allow younger drivers to buy them - then "whinging" in this forum when they saw old ppl driving the same car they drive :D

Why not look at some Ford Mustang owners, they could be 40-50+ doesn't surprise me... they were also 18yo once, 40 yrs ago when Mustang rules the american roads in the 1960s......

That makes me think, if I really have my mid life crisis in the next 10 yrs, what would I buy? A 15 years BMW M3 perhaps, and share the road with other 20yo drivers who's gonna talk about this same thing on M3 Forums Australia (maybe one day).

Long post, my 2c.... my old fingers getting tired :D

I get BOV'd on too, usually P-Platers, not always. If its not a P-plate its a WRX or VL, maybe the occasional skyline

I am willing to bet that most of us on here, round my age and younger are not going to lose our pashion for fast cars the minute we hit 40 or 50 or even 60! We are not going to hand over the 'sports car' keys OR our license.

Face it guys we are addicted, we are committed, and we love it ~ its for life :D

Or is it just me :confused:

And that now makes 2 long posts in a row ~ sorry.

I get harrassed to, mostly by V8 & Camry drivers in the first few months owning my R33.... but I just didnt give a sh*t so they lost interest and I got less harrassed now. V8 I get it, but Camry? I dun get it, some idiots buy Camrys to drag off traffic light I really couldn't understand.

Perhaps once every 1 or 2 months there'll still be a driver to try to race me. And since I dun care if ppl wanna race me, there maybe more and I may not even noticed 'em.

ha ha, sounds familiar. I had a female P=plater in a stock 80's model Magna try to go me last night, in the wet no less :D

I admire their intent, she's probably saving up for a skyline and wanted to see me fang it!!! [to see how fast they are or sumpin].

A 93 csi camry v6 owned me on a wet night. I can't accelerate fast enough with my wheelspin from 1st thru 3rd gear....

I gave up and let the camry driver had his win against r33.

Don't underestimate front wheel drive cars with less power on a wet surface, they can accelerate fast enough on the edge without upsetting the traction due to less turbo kick that can send your tail around. Everytime I get rear wheel spin, my tail will start spin to the left, and I can't risk it at speed over 100kph so the camry won the fight....

I live in the west area, but there isn't much skylines (only series 1, hardly series 2) but I still say that Holdens and fords still own the West Area . I have seen a few R32 and old ladies driving em in the west area, haven't seen a guy driving one yet.

Well since we are all after a GTR, and since we won't keep it stock, and we all love mods, I don't think i'll be alive a 40 :P

let me think, die in bed, or die in a GTR going 300km/h +

:) i know what i would pick
