R33 Reverse Lights Not Working

Hi,

iv just got my car back from being converted to manual and my reverse lights dont work.

when i got it changed i had a manual ECU put in and a manual gauge cluster.

iv read i need a cable from the gearbox to either the fuse box or wired into the engine loom.

my question is with the manual ECU what do i actually need to do to get this fixed?

and if anybody has pics of the cable/plug i would be very greatful

Hook up the sensor it should be located along the underside of the tranny. Btw that annoying beeping noise will come back its kinda funny thats how I identify a auto swapped car lol. You can disable the sound but trace it to the small speaker and break it... Sound Gone!!!

there will be two plugs coming off the side of the manual gearbox. one is the neutral switch and the other is the reverse swich. i cant remember which is which but if you get a multimeter and do a continuity test on the plug and see witch one switches when you put is in reverse. then you need to find the the reverse light signal wire and hook it up.

so is the plug on my auto harnise the same as the one on the manual? shouldnt my mach have just pluged it in? he was the one who told me about it

if not can i just get a manual plug and wire that on to the auto plug?

you run the reverse light signal wire to the engine bay near the fuse box, there should be a brown plug there

search in the tutorials/DIY section, theres a diagrama for wiring it up. search for "manual conversion"
