i love the old cars... I have a 1970 mini cooper s race car... its lowered off its nut, de-dumpered, big ass engine with exposed filters, catch cans, huge barrely muffled exhaust, 6 point race harness and race seat....

they leave me the hell alone... I love it... Only time i get pulled over is for old cops to tell me that they used to drive them in the HWY patrol. hahaha

My skyline, dont get hassled to much, but i'm real careful... and we have the highway patrol located about 1km from my house

Sunday afternoons are usually the most relaxed day to go for a drive into the foreshore. Yeah there is a few police here and there, but its nothing like what Thursday nights have turned into. I've only been pulled over for a couple of RBTs around Newcastle, and they are always nice to me... but only because they all comment and say, oh your lucky getting to drive your bf's car! :S how rude. lol. my car is pretty legal, so i'm not too worried anyhow.

I don't know what I do wrong?

I've owned two S13s, and I currently own a modified E30 323i...

Yet I never seem to get pulled over.

With the exception of RBTs (for which I often get waved through), I have only ever been pulled over once in my old Onevia. It was low, had an aftermarket bodykit, very loud exhaust, no back seats etc. Did I mention I'm a P-plater? The car could easily have been turbo but I've never been asked to pop the bonnet.

It was about 1am in the morning and I got pulled over a couple of streets away from my house. The officers were polite to me, checked my car wasn't stolen (awesome, I wish they would do that more often), breath tested me, and then sent me on my way.

The only real negative experience I have had with HWP was when I was returning from the Central Coast the other day. I had no P-plates on as they always blow off when you are on the freeway. I get one street away from my house, and get pulled into an RBT. The HWP officer was a bit rude, I explained why I didn't have P-plates, he didn't say anything, took my licence and came back with the fine. But fair enough, he was right to book me.

Even my mates in the force say that most normal police hate HWP...
