Phatboy
I dont know if nsw is the same as vic but once the plates are stolen you can not get another set the same because someone has the other ones. That's correct. There should be a way of getting a number plate frame that can be locked? W0rp3D
saw a thing on 5th gear a while back, over there with all there extra tolls and congestion charges number plate theft is huge, they had cops walking around handing out screws that once they are done up tight enough the heads snap off and you cant get the off without f**king the number plate. d_33vl_1
From what ive been told you cant get them replaced because then there are 2 sets getting around, also to get number plates replaced you have to report them stolen, if you get the same plates again your driving around with stolen number plates, also you can get out of speed camera and city link fines by saying you were not there and it must have been the ones that were stolen. If im wrong i might have to report my plates stolen and then get a new set you can get them replaced DEFINATLY... missus had her reAr plate stolen on her astra 'A55TRA' and we reported it to cops, called vic roads and they sent a new one but we were told to carry the report around just in case we got pulled over. next week we were pulled over and pulled ouuta car cause plates have been reported haha. but deifantly if plates are stolen they are replacable by vicroads, with a police report. in vic anyways Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212866-best-number-plates/page/14/#findComment-4346024 Share on other sites

I live in the same apartment building (see it parked downstairs all the time) No wonder why.... "Peter Bartels is now the highest paid executive in Australia." Some of his inflammatory comments had included the following: "His earnings of $55,000 a week - disclosed in the company's latest financial statement" Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212866-best-number-plates/page/14/#findComment-4346694 Share on other sites

Grant
There's been some truly ridiculous plates mentioned in this thread, but I've just found some that take the cake: Ebay link Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212866-best-number-plates/page/14/#findComment-4363086 Share on other sites
superspit
Also, i hate plates that state the obvious like:"BLKGTR" ok, thanks for caring, but I AM NOT colour blind. "MYGTR" Duh, if it wasn't yours, obviously you wouldn't be driving it, but just so we're absolutely clear, you are driving your own car. Congrats. "LANCER" Thanks for specifying the model of your vehicle, as hard as it is to believe, I am NOT incapable of establishing your vehicle make and model on my own. Geeeesh...sorry! Hardly a 'smart' plate, but I like it! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212866-best-number-plates/page/14/#findComment-4363154 Share on other sites
