I know it's bad karma but so hard to resist doing it. One guy was waiting to get out of the petrol station in his old hick commodore with the window down and the guy in front of me couldn't resist going through the huge puddle next to him, he got soaked! Sooo funny!

My best puddles story was when I was driving through Dominos carpark in Myaree, and it was totally flood. Fully sick Commodore driving coming opposite direction with window down, and I floored it through the water (in another car btw) and he got absolutely flooded with water.

I made a quick dash for the exit hahahaha.

I've always wanted to do this. It happened to me once, and I just laughed. I grabbed a gun and shot the f*cker, but i laughed. Cant wait to find the right oppertunity. Am I a wanker? No, I'm an 18 year old boy. Therefore, is there much of a difference?

Is it wrong to drive through a puddle on the side of the road with the intention of causing a wave to soak unsuspecting pedestrians who are just going about their business, or waiting for a bus etc?

I know its a wan*er thing to do, and everytime the oportunity presents itself, i do try to refrain from doing it....but its soooo funny that i sometimes cant help myself. If you saw this happen, would you swear and curse the person, or would you be more inclined to laugh?

For the record, i think some people should be off limits. e.g. Kids, parents with kids etc.

So, am i a really just a wan*er??

Be honest, do you do it, or have you done it?

Have you ever been hit by a wave while you were a pedestrian?

I once saw an old guy in his car waiting at an intersection. he had his window down and there was a huge puddle on the road he needed to turn on to.

a car came past and this huge splash went into the guys car as his window was down. he must have been swimming in there. he tried to put the window up and another car did the same thing.

i still feel sorry for that guy

U shouldnt do it to anyone brad. its nasty :(

Another time I was 17. I was in mundaring driving my old p plater car through some of the dirt roads used for rally australia pretending to be Colin Mcrae. These old ladies were walking along. I slowed down and drove past them and didnt notice a puddle. One lady got drenched from the muddy water. I didnt even know about it until when I went to come back on the same road. The old ladies formed a human baracade on the road and stopped me. I was like "oh hai, thats a fine baracade u have going"

they went off at me saying i purposely went out of my way to splash the lady with water. i was like "wat when ... i did not?"

they didnt even wait for my reply... they just walked off. there is nothing worse than being shunned by old folk :D

I've only done it once, to a traffic controller when they were building the new Ikea about a year ago, the guy was standing toward me with a decent sized puddle infront of him, surely he should have expected it? i did have to get a little closer to the kerb though, the guy wasn't happy about it, turned around and was waving his sign around. He was getting paid to be there, and he should have put himself in a position where that couldn't happen, so IMO, it was fair game, I won't get regular joe on the side of the road though.

Did it occur to you that the traffic guy may have been more upset coz you werent the first person to do it to him?

If it was that wet out side, why did he have the window down?

Verdict...He deserved it

I too would feel sorry for him, but id still laugh.

I never said it wasnt nasty....but it is funny! Can you honestly say when you saw this guy with the window down get a good soak (not once, but twice) you didnt laugh? At a minimum a little chuckle and a grin maybe escaped you? :(:D:(

The other thing to consider about the council worker/sign guy....he prolly had to stand there for the rest of the day wet! And as it was prolly raining anyway, he couldnt get dry and he would be cold...then he would catch pneumonia (spelling) and then.....oh wait, its not funny now ...move on

    • Yeh... literally every time i jump on a forum, see an instagram post or see an engine bay at a car show, i get an idea and add it to my 'to do' list. So what started off as, hey can u just make a couple of intake hard pipes because my dumbass bought the wrong apexi kit, blew out into a 2 week job including braided brake lines & custom bash kit for the front lip haha.  Getting Luke from A4E engineering to make a full custom exhaust with a controllable aes dump valve so i can actually switch between quiet and loud, because right now its just loud all day every day. Then after that go and get the tune redone flex e85 & 98 as i get bugger all milage from e85, makes going for longer drivers difficult
    • Car looks clean as. You ended up getting quite a bit done 😂  So what's the plan for the exhaust?
    • The only Neo rods that were any different to any other RB25 rods were the DET ones, and they were the same as RB26. Here is a Neo DET rod. O5U part number visible. Here is a post in a thread here on SAU with evidence from someone who has done this before. There are photos in the thread of normal RB25 rods.
    • Sure, but why assume that will be the case forever? And why assume you'll be able to do an oil change to swap back to a stock drain bolt before that happens? And does it even matter when I change the oil at fairly short intervals? Life can be funny sometimes and unexpected things can happen. Like breaking a collarbone so you can't do any work on your car for a few months but the oil change is due so you have to take it to somewhere and hope they don't do something stupid like stacking the new drain plug washer on top of the old one.
    • Do u know how to identify the rods are rb25 or neo ones? Can u look into the pics and tell me is they de or de neo ones. Its confusing becoz my motor has de neo head but block is 25de 75t, so really confusing me about rods, crank.
