wats this um engineers certificate thingy (i think thats wat its called), do u need one of them if u like modify ur car?

Hey IvanINC...

When you make modifications to a car you need to have them approved by an engineer. He will ensure that they are done properly and comply with the Australian Design and safety rules.

There is a list of engineers on the RTA website.

It also depends what your changing, ultimatly if you could get all your modifications engineered it may save you trouble down the line (as all the mods would be legal..).

yer true its supposed to help u especially with getting pulled over for defects etc, but i still know few ppl who get defected regardless if they have a eng. cert. and usually the cops put on the infringement '' check engineer certificate''. or some have even said '' we dont take eng. cert. into account''
