How To Reset Ecu?

hey sau members

just wondering i saw a thread while back saying you hav to reset your ecu after buying a new skyline... i just got a 33 nd people recomend i do the same... they said after you reset it its ment to pump more fuel making the motor at the peak, and driving the way you do the ecu learns and if you hav a heavy foot the performance would be higher but less economical nd visa versa...

can anyone help me??

hey a search would have bought you a answer quickly but to reset your ecu disconnect your battery overnight, some people say pressing your brake pedal while the battery is disconnected is a much quicker way to discharge your whole electrical system (i haven't tried this, only the over night one) good luck

tbh i dont see how holding your brake pedal down would make any difference to discharing your electrical system, brake pedal goes to the servo unit wich links to ur master cylinder :S just doesnt make any sense how that would affect your electrical system

Im presuming that the brake light would use every last piece of power?? im not too sure as i have not tried only by what ive read..

or just turn the headlights on??? wouldnt that be quicker/easier?
