Ecu Reset... Does It Work?

hi just wonding if reseting your ecu actually work?

it does work and it can clear some wierd issues

it wont make the car "retune itself and make more power however" it will try 2deg extra timing but its only minor adustments

+1 dont expect more power and a totally different car. you'd probably wouldnt even notice anything.

what is the process of resetting the ecu?

you could search and find all of the info in about 3 seconds

from the top;

1. undo the battery terminal in the boot for the ground (its the main beefy bolt with wire to the battery)

2. press the brake pedal a few times

3. reconnect battery ground bolt (in step 1) - it should spark a little when you reconnect it

this will reset any electrical devices in your car such as stereo, ECU, and any other digital devices

if your alarm has a panic for battery flat etc it may fire and isolate the car or do other wierd shit (so check first).

its no different to your battery going flat so its not critical just be aware if you a super sneaky alarm
