3 Weeks For An Import Approval?

Is anyone having trouble getting there Import Approval's? My RAW applied on the 14th of March and he still doesn't have it.

My car has been sitting on the docks since Friday the 26th and the Import Approval is no where to be seen. Does any one know how much storage fee's I'll be paying.

my IA took 2 weeks, so wouldn't get too worried yet. has your RAWS followed up the application to see if there is a problem?. I don't know storage fee rates but, good luck.

just had a look and mine only took 4 days(done in mid feb).

what docks is the car at, each one has different rates.

Mine only took a week. I was told by my RAW these days import approval should only take 1 week more or less.

Is the car at aussie dock or japan dock? I was told if it has landed without import approval and somebody found out about it, you or your RAW could get into trouble as the car was not suppose to be on the ship in the first place before an import approval is issued - that is if everyone plays by the book.

The cars sitting on the Melbourne dock. I call the RAW every day to see if it has come but they don't seem to be worried. I've never had this problem before, usually get it in 1 week.

Got it today, 3rd of April. Was applied for (apparently) on the 14th of march. Is this a record of some sort??

I've seen them take that long before. Storage is $45-75 a day in Melbourne, from memory.

Crap, the cars going to be on the docks for more than a week. Do they charge storage fees for the weekend too of just week days?

charge it for everyday they possibly can the bastards, so yes including weekends.

in a few instances ive had mine sent by express post which is like a day turnover

sometimes dotars dont help

i have had no IA , the wrong IA , IAs for other RAWS sent to me , 2 x different IA for the same car , IA with wrong chassis number , IA with wrong engine type

etc etc etc

and to get it fixed you have to post it back to them and wait for the replacement
