I must admit this won't help the cause much but when I get pulled over I stand up for myself fairly aggressively when I know I've done nothing wrong. I'm quite willing to argue each point. I tend to become blind to the situation and become rather bull headed about it all. but I've found that cops who meet someone who can calmly argue each point without loosing their attention and sound more articulate about it all then themselves start to doubt the situaiton and are more willingly to issue cautions.

Make sure u ask for a recent calibration certificate for the radar, if they cant provide one that is dated within the last 6-12 months then they have no proof that the radar is accurate. hope all goes well :D

Incorrect. They dont carry them nor have to provide them. Certificates are presented at court if needed.

I think I know this purple ss in this area although he pulled me over on blaxland rd and get this, just turning out of the woolworths petrol station. What was my crime? Maybe putting in vortex instead of ultimate, but they had none left! At least he was sort of nice and just fined me for the air pod although he was quite funny - "they do not add extra power".

thats sadd.. sometime there so bored they'll just book whoever ''looks like there speeding'' ,, sigh .

anyways i saw a undercover police in an evo at the hills area. the other day

Come on EVO ,think it was 7 or something???

@ Pennant hills that pulled over some guy in a normal sh!t box ... We were in traffic peak hour so saw it for awhile. Was hilarious.

Made the guy got out of his car and walk the line and then bookd him . probably for drink driving or something.

the same purple ss that booked me (at the start of thread)... last night i saw it sitting on the shoulder of the f5/hume hwy not far from where he booked me.

and by shoulder, i mean a metre or two at best from the left lane, with no protection from cars doing 110kmh right next to it. it gets better. this was at night, and seemingly police are too important to require hazard lights. so there was a dark coloured stationary car sitting right next to oncoming 110kmh traffic. theyre obviously not too concerned about the safety of motorists now are they...

oh and they got someone. the party lights started up and without indicating, off they went to earn their commission.

      Nope. The seal is in the drive. A new cable would just fill up and continue to convey oil to the speedo head. To check if this is what is happening, take the cluster out, dismantle the speedo and have a look. You probably don't even have to dismantle it. If there is oil coming up the cable, the drive into the speedo will be grossly greasy. I had to manually (and delicately) clean the gunk out of my speedo.

      Thanks for the quick response mate, and I agree Nismo 555s, Z32 and high flow 2871 in OP6 housing (run by PowerFC) would all be "period correct" and should be a simple, reliable and reasonably quick track car.

      It is normal for a speedo to read 0-10% high (unfortunately), intended by manufacturers and ADRs (although not in this case) to ensure your speedo does not read low if your tyres are worn. Speaking of which, what size tyres do you have on the rear, and what does they tyre placard say you should have? you can use this https://tiresize.com/calculator/ to determine what % difference that is causing Personally, when I buy tyres for a car I buy a size that will bring the speedo back to being more accurate; it if it reads 5% high I buy tyres that are 5% larger diameter. If you had an electronic speed sender like R33 onwards, the other option is to add a speedo adjuster but that won't work in R32. Finally, you  might be able to find a different sized gear for the speedo sender but that will be limited to what already exists (and I don't know what sizes do)

      OK...so dumb question to check....do the hi beams actually come on when the push the stalk to engage them (keeping in mind your headlight switch must be at ON as well)

      Nah it factory manual not sure about ratio but it looks like there’s been some work at the rear
