lol, no airbags in these ol' 32s mate. ;)

I would say it's part of the AWD, HICAS or ABS systems. or it could be something as mundane as 'power window ecu'. really I have NFI, but there is a diagram in the service manual that will show you what it is.

I say unplug it and see what doesn't work. if it's something you need, plug back in. if not, put it in the bin.

I like your style.

Downloaded the GTR service manual ;)

The following is the "fuel pump control modulator"... I assume it's to provide variable voltage to the fuel pump depending on engine load.

believe the one in the boot is something to do with the sound system, going to be ahhmm removing mine this week in accordence with strict diet for car.

Will let you know if there are any problems......once i get the bloody motor finished grrrrrrr

the fuel pump controler is gone as i direct wired my pumps with no issues

Sound system?!?!?! ;) ;) ;)

The only sound I want to hear is the glorious voice of an RB26 ;)

I haven't done any proper tracing (I might have a closer look this afternoon), but when I reached behind there, there seemed to be wiring that runs out of the metal box towards the front of the car. I'm pretty sure that no part of the wiring loom runs up the passenger door sill, so it must merge into the loom that goes across the top of the rear seat.

Thanks mate, if your car blows up when you remove the box, let me know ;)

last time i got pulled over by a cop he looked at my aftermarket steering wheel, then asked me if the car use to have airbags.

i was like - "i bought the car like this but umm i doubt it"

he then pulled sunvisor down which had something about ABS written on it and went "AH HAH!! See! It did!"

i was like ;) *shrugs* "i donno"

ABS brakes ;)

I think the one in the boot is the motor for the aerial feel the top does the aerial come out of it ;) Not sure if the fuel pump thinggo can go in the bin when you direct wire it, cos you are still using the signal from the ecu to turn the relay on and off, if you unplug that box the signal from the ecu (via the fuel pump ecu) won't be there anymore, might have to do some tricksy jumping of the plug to keep it working.

If your shaving weight top left corner of the boot, hanging under the parcel shelf I believe is the factory amp.....bin....

1 fuel computer - replace with a direct wire to a new 30A relay in the boot

2 earth for loom - keep that

3 cat temp sensor - ditch it and replace with a bung

4 no idea either. it is not hicas or attessa they live under the parcel shelf (and there is an amp under there you can remove too)

looks like you are making good progress
