Yup, I removed that mystery one in the boot today, and it was indeed the control module for the rear window demister :D

I was going to bin it, but if people have broken ones, I'll give this one away to a good home.... PM me if anyone needs it.

Disclaimer: I never actually turned on the rear window demister, so I don't know if it works :D

1 fuel computer - replace with a direct wire to a new 30A relay in the boot

2 earth for loom - keep that

3 cat temp sensor - ditch it and replace with a bung

4 no idea either. it is not hicas or attessa they live under the parcel shelf (and there is an amp under there you can remove too)

looks like you are making good progress

what happens if you replace the cat temp sensor?? why do it?

cat temp sensor just comes on to warn you of cat overheating. and i assume since i saw a 4" ti exhaust system with merli's name on it that he wont be running a cat either.

damn sensor on my car is loose. this causes the dash light to flicker which isnt much fun when going round corners at sandown. might rip it out...

If your shaving..remove the Hicas...no need for that

yea remove hicas. no need for anything from the solenoid back. 20kg+ in weight savings. leave the computer under the parcel shelf though. u still need that

ron....that could be different, I've never seen the warning light come on and I'm not sure why it being loose would do so. But do you have an early model PFC? Some of them used this light to indicate knock....
