Hi guys thinking of getting turbo timer and air filter for my R34, what do ya think suit my GTT(stock)? For air filter, currently using HKS, havent really try out anything else, so kinda confused

Money doesnt really matter, been saving for this :D ...

I narrowed down my turbo timer choices to

HKS - Turbo timer type 0 and type 1

Blitz - Dual Turbo Timer - DCIV

Greddy - Full Auto Timer

and for air filter

Blitz sonic power

Blitz SUS

HKS super power

Apexi power

All of them must have their own unique features rite?

Have ur say...

Cheers

Stick with your HKS air filter, I got one and it works fine.

I have a Blitz copy turbo timer and it probley does the same thing as the real Blitz one maybe minus a feature. As long as its reliable and allows your car to idle at the set time and able to lock your car while it idling and switch off and keep the car locked up.

Blitz SUS, looks the best if you've got a polished engine bay i reckon.

The choice of filter you buy can make a difference to the way your engine bay looks, which then would fall under the heading of cosmetics and styling...............

I have the Apexi pen style timer, it's good and not expensive. They have them on Nengun.com so check it out.

I had an HKS pod filter, was good, but my tuner chucked it and put on the Apexi filter. Reasoning is the HKS pod (or any foam filter) needs to be oiled. The oil gets into the intake system and fouls the AFM element, meaning the meter will need to be cleaned more often.

So don't get an 'oiled' filter.

+ 1 for 3a racing pod

i second this..... they are a cheepo but flow and filtration is much better than the over priced jap "brand name filters" i dont have one but the tests have prooved that these are tops

do a search, a while back in a thread bout filters i posted up a huge comparison of common filters 11 or so with flow rates and filtration rates

i have a Blitz SUS... sounds absolutely awesome, seriously...

does the job too i guess :/

in regards to turbo timer, what do you want it to do...?

keep your car running for a tiny while to let the turbo and engine cool down right?

all timers do the same thing in theory, me and m brother both have invisible ones interfaced with the alarm...

key out, engine still running... one/two minute(s) later engine off... they all do the same job mate, which one looks nicer in the car?
