FS: 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR, Premium Silver Sedan, Manual (6 speed), 28,900 Kms, Registration RBORN, $42,900 ono.

Brief History:

This vehicle was purchased last year from IMG in Sydney. It was graded as a Grade 5A vehicle (mint interior and exterior). Since that time, it served it's purpose as my daily driver for about six months, while also being used as a demonstrator vehicle for my business at shows and events.

It has been serviced every 5,000 KMs (oil and oil filter change) and all records have been kept. All import documentation showing the cars grade upon import, and an inspection by Sydney Vehicle Check grading the vehicle as "excellent" will be given to the new owner. Also, service history, books, and manuals from Japan will also be included.

Reason for Sale: I work a lot from home now, and don't drive much anymore, and also, will be needing the money as I am purchasing a new house in the next few months.

I won't describe the standard features of this vehicle, as it has been extensively discussed on this forum. The extra modifications I have made to the car since purchase are as follows:

List of Modifications:

Alpine CDA-9855 Head-unit with KCA-420i iPod option

Brant ZX500 Gold Alarm System (two independent immobilisers, keypad with pin-code)

Sun Auto "Hot Earth" earthing kit

Ralliart Aluminium Gear-knob

BBS Forged rims (powder-coated in gloss black)

New Continental Sport Contact II Tyres

Note: Plates "RBORN" will not be included with vehicle. New plates will be installed prior to sale.

The vehicle is available for inspection, but you will need to contact me to organise a mutually suitable time. I can be reached on my mobile on 0412772234 or on email at [email protected]

I have attached some pictures of the car below. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!

Amir

    • Lowest point on the car is 105mm now, so just legal and hopefully high enough to clear After paint, much happier with how it looks Before looked real 😝
    • I'll measure it up at the lowest point later and post it up Currently painting, with the oven all warmed up to 93°c
    • How much clearance is under the car? We have speed humps being added everywhere around me. Faster than they fix the potholes, thats for sure.
    • After some googling of various websites IRT the best ride height for correct geometry I ended up going,  hub to guard, 330mm in the rear and 345 at the front, these heights came from Flyin' Miata in the states as what they recommend (13" rear, 13.5" front) The rear needed to only come up 5mm, but the front came up 15mm Overall it is around a 25mm drop from OEM ride height, doesn't look all 4x4, and hopefully should be enough height to clear those pesky speed humps I have lost around 0.5° camber on the front, and around 0.2° in the rear, I have no idea about what it did to toe settings so I'll look at a new alignment next week to get it set up how I want, zero rear and a little in at the front I've also stripped the new intake and am currently cleaning and preparing the alloy for some paint, I've headed into work to do it as I can use the ovens in the soils lab to cure the wrinkle paint at 90°c Jackie has banned me from using the oven at home for stuff like this....🤣
