Item: As title States

Age: its a 1997 model

Condition: side damaged

Price: OFFER ME!! willing to post at buyers expense

To Fit: (What car) where ever you like

Location: Melbourne, Western Surburbs

Comments: i brought this engine off ebay, i thought i was able to use the engine for my car but the water pump area was too damage to fix. so i decided to strip the engine; i will give a full list once my mechanic has strip the full engine, or if your keen send me a pm of the part you want!!

i will post more pictures up later tonight! and the prices!!

I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF IT!!! PLEASE COME DOWN inspections welcome, im only available on thursday friday, saturdays mornings to 230pm

hey is the engine wiring loom OK?and is it a manual ECU?

by the looks of the loom its doesnt look that its in really good shape i post the pic tomorrow for you to see, and yes it is a manaul ecu

It is in the circled area in the attached pic, it has 3 small hoses coming off it. One to the throttle body, one to the head & one to the block. It also has a 10mm headed bolt screwed in to it.

Hey mate.. will you sell the turbo seperately?

If so, what condition is it in? Shaft play? etc.. If its all good, consider it sold! :P

i call dibs on the coil pack loom so long the clips are not broken pm me back with a price + delivered to Adelaide 5013.

hey the turbo has no shaft play, come down and inspect it, and if you like it; its a $150

is that the square thing that connects all the coils together?

yeah the plugs that connect to the coil packs is the loom plug clips broken at all and is your motor a series 2?

hey does anyone know if the series 1 and 2 Coil Pack Loom are the same i know series 1 have the ignitor on the coil pack cover and series 2 have them built in the coil packs is the loom its self the same thoe.?

      I have an Elite 2500, honestly most of this has been a lot of smaller tasks chasing little details and a whole lot of life getting in the way of bigger projects. I don't mind too much looking at a spectrograph vs having audio knock ears.

      Nah nah nah nah. Don't do it. It's not all about the full throttle power delivery. The main "street fun" and drivability gains from smaller rear (in this case) is how you will have boost available from a low rpm when yo just roll onto the throttle. Think jinking in and out of traffic, coming out of roundabouts, etc etc, where you just want to roll onto the throttle a little and have the spooly noise from ~2000rpm and a swell of torque. More of what you've already achieved by going to 2.5. And then, towards the tail end of 2025 you can pull the turbo 4 out and put in a V8 like we originally suggested. :P

      Cheers for the info mate, I'm old too, 60 years old next May, so a more linear delivery of the 0.86 would be better as baking tyres and snapping heads isn't on the cards for me or the car I assume a more linear power delivery would be better for engine and drivetrain reliability as well, IRT the torque load at lower RPM???, as well as lower EGT's???, if my understanding of that is correct, have I got that right??? I've only got a really basic understanding of turbo sizing and all there characteristics  Cheers for the useful information

      What kind of power delivery are you after? If it's nice and linear, the 0.86 would be better. If you're after bake tyres and head snaps on boost the 0.64 would be fun. I'm boring and old, so linear power is preferred. Lately I've been watching videos on Z06 Corvettes and super charged Mustangs....
