Do I Need To Remap?

hi guys currently my R32 has been mapped to 14.5psi on the standard turbo. I want to upgrade to an R33 turbo but wasn't sure if i would need a remap afterward? i want to get the most i can from the turbo so should i get it remapd? and what sort of boost can i run with an R33 turbo? i want to stay in the safe limit.

My spec includes:

Power fc

Profec B spec 2 boost controller

Full 3inch exhaust

Decat

Apexi induction kit

Turbo elbow

Gtr front Mount intercooler

Oil Cooler

any advice would be good.

Yes. Your current tune will be suited to the smaller turbo, which has different flow characteristics to the larger 25 turbo.

you wont need a complete remap again but you will need to take it for a tune ASAP

my tuner set mine to 1 bar. he said that will be fine

stock r33 turbo I'd run it at 12psi. anymore and it's just a matter of time before it dies!

Just run the r33 turbo at 10 psi, when you gat a chance to take it to a dyno day, do a run at 10 psi and 12 psi, as long as the AFR's are nice, depending on the tuner, there probably isnt much to gain from a retune, as long as the tuner extended the tune beyond the original turbo.
