haha, yeah im just stirring....

i think the reason ns expanded to some other sections was like cuz there was heaps of guys on the site that had sold their sils an 200s for skyline and supras and that, but still felt more of a part of the ns community with all their mates there and stuff, and it was getting all outta wack with people asking questions about other car models and the members cars had really started to diversify.. so it just gave them an opportunity for somewhere to chat about their cars and that, its not in anyway trying to take over other forums, it is like making an offtopic forum to get all the bullshit out of the general threads...... silvias and 200s have stopped being made, but the community is still there, it is just evolving... people are always going to come here for skyline stuff.. i dont think sau should feel threatened by a few ns guys buying skylines and still wanting to participate in the ns community...

anyways, thats my 2c.... hi from ns.com...

FORUMZ WARZzZ!

Meet at the carpark behind the old docks. Midnight tonight. Its awwnnnn.

Bring a ladder, 100kg's of bricks.....and some KY.

Wait.....what?

Wow.. you joined 12 days before me and only 29 posts lol..

You've been lurking hard :)

I mean, you are not going to go to hardtuned for serious advice on rotary advice would you?

If its populated by NS.com people, I wouldn't go there for serious advice on anything other than candy paint, neons, street racing, or how to misspell words.

NS is a drift based forum

SAU is drag and circuit based

Really? I thought they were Silvia and Skyline (respectively) based. Its just that all the ns kiddies jumped on the drifting bandwagon a lot harder than most, and ran with it.

Uh oh, the true feelings are coming out! Let it all out jim jim.

Personally, I think the new design for the ns.com site is totally ghey. Takes way too long to load! Even with 1.5meg broadband so thats really bad. NS.com just shut out everyone with dialup who doesn't want to wait 5 days for it to load..... Plus, there is just too much shit on the screen. Bring back the basic design like this here site and boostcruising. My 2c.

I'm really annoyed at the layout. It was easy to browse before, but now, it's confusing as hell.

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
    • I was more thinking so it doesn't flop around as much rather than for rotating it. Once you have the balance right, it should rotate well enough, depending on how much resistance there is on the pivot. I think you said the pivot point was on a bearing though didn't you?
