just need some help with this, i have all the supporting mods and want to make around the 260rwkw.

almost at tune stage but need to know whether or not i need to buy bigger injectors or whether i can just put a fuel pressure reg on it and bump up the pressure.

i have an ignition DVD with a hybrid 25/30 in it making 280rwkw on standard injectors, how is this done, i thought they max out at around 220-230???

also if i do have to put injectors in it, will i also need to put a reg on it??

cheers in advance

injectors. when u put in a adj fpr, u are moving curves that aren't usually moved. making the whole tuning process a lot more difficult.

just go injectors and a decent management system.

dont cheap out on it.

hey SL1D1N, I in no way mean to hijack your thread, I am in a similar position (should have similar power by this weekend) then will need a tune and fuel system upgrade, and I was going to ask a similar question as you, thought it might just be able to be answered here instead of opening up a new thread....

So to upgrade the fuel system, you don't need to get a FPR if you get new injectors and pump? and does that mean a fpr just uses your current injectors to spray out more then what they are meant to? wot about your fuel filter when upgrading?

Thanks mate, Adam

BTW good luck with the tune!

Using a FPR to increase the pressure to get more head room out of your maxed out injectors is a short cut. If you are going to chase bigger numbers down the track you are going to eventually need bigger injector anyway so you may as well get them in the first place.

Yep, s15 sr20 480cc side feeds, or any of the 550cc ones are fine for up to 300rwkw(or 350 for the 550's) Upgrade the pump and keep the stock reg. What management are you guys running.

Awsum, thanks for that. I thought my mate was full of cr*p when he said I need fuel pump, injectors AND a fpr...

I have a powerfc and commander :)
