Ahh hi everyone, i just recently bought my first car (90' rb20det) and still have a small remaining budget left to be used on few modifications.

I tried searching but most topics were unrelated >__>

anyways sorry for being noob here, hopefully i can get some advice on what should be done to my car.

Currently have a budget of $3000, and mostly after performance wise and is there any recommended workshops in NSW i should visit for further info and quotes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

Hi and welcome.

have a read through these first..

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/RB...ipe-t54854.html

it all depends on what mods your car currently has and what your goal is for the car.

you say performance is what you want, I assume you mean power, but it could also mean better performance in cornering so you'd spend the money on suspension and tyres etc..

power mods are common.

Exhaust - $1K

boost - $30

intercooler - $300

tune - $300

that will wake your car up compared to stock.

read the above links to get more ideas on how to go further.

alright cool, thanks mate

(still stock car and still on my L's)

L's and a turbo car?

And in NSW..

He's obviously extremely brave and keep to get raped.

If he's wearing P plates, the cops will pull him over to check his license. Once they work it out, given the negative hoon stigma in the media and law enforcement, they'll ream him.

On another note he's driving a car he's not licensed to operated.

In case of an accident, he's got no insurance (including CTP). So if he hits someone and puts them in hospital, he may as well declare bankruptcy.

Risking financial ruin, and leaving a black mark on your record for the rest of your life, sounds pretty f*cking stupid to me.

dayum, after reading D I F's little quote ... im risking alot :(

...and yeah i'll be researching on couple of DIY mods and get some mates and mess around.

At the moment im thinking on getting : exhaust, fmic and induction kit to start off my r32 gtst

Unless there are other mods that would be recommended to have done before these?

cheers ^__^

(if this helps, i will not be driving this skyline regularly during my P's till im on full license)

As soon as they see the cooler, then the Red P Plates + the noise that its making they'll work it out straight away. Bit too risky if you ask me.

Try and keep it as standard as possible engine wise if you are going to keep it. I'd recommend not driving it at all!

if you dont want them too see the cooler then get it painted black or just use an R34 GTT cooler

I would recommend you buy a NA skyline. Especially with the new Anti-hoon laws that have just been past. You are really risking a lot.

Do you really think they are that dumb? You know they check Rego plate. Rego plates are linked to the Chassis/Vin number which determines the model of the car. Which means you will be f**k up the arse. Not to mention cops aren't that stupid. The engineer I use trains up most of them to let them know what they can and can't defect and point out what is what.
