Hey

I am looking at getting a digital camera, nothing too fancy but something decent - basically a camera where I can just take photos

Basically I need it for taking basic photos, indoors and outdoors but I want good quality and not something thats slow and ends up taking crap photos - point and shoot camera!

I have the following 3 in mind but I can't decide which one would be best to get, any ideas?

SONY CyberShot W80 : http://www.sony.com.au/dis/catalog/product...ategoryId=22119

SONY CyberShot W55 : http://www.sony.com.au/dis/catalog/product...ategoryId=22119

CANON Ixus 70 : http://www.canon.com.au/products/cameras/d...italixus70.aspx

I've read some review but they are all pretty much the same - CANON is the cheapest, then the W55 then the W80 being most expensive

If someone can recommend something else feel free, I'm looking at spending about $300

suspect a bit more than you wanna spend though..

you want something compact specifically?

i have older version of this and IMO its fantastic for a P&S

ah to much man

Personally I'm a huge fan of Canon, they're easy to use, you have a multitude of 'manual' functions that most other 'point and shoot' cameras dont have and they're quite hardy for how small they are.

in my time I've had an:

A70 - stolen

Ixus 60 - GF's point n shoot

EOS 20D - my toy

anyway, best way to find out what camera you like is to go into a shop and spend 1/2 an hour playing with them...
