H@ME
i'd be dropping it DEFINATLy as this will have major effects on the pressure (oil pressure) for the engine, you don't want to damage anything. even if u underfill (via draining) and have to top up. better pay for oil than internal components busting on you! just my 2cents! cheers, hame Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/214640-overfilled-oil/#findComment-3790876 Share on other sites
madbung
Silly not to drain it...why risk it to avoid 2 mins work? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/214640-overfilled-oil/#findComment-3790936 Share on other sites

Godzilla32
I thought it was ok to over fill the oil upto the hump for track days etc? Or is that only in reference to RB26's? (OO)SKYLINE(OO)
If you over fill the oil, it will just burn off. But if its large amount, just drain it and check the level after an hour or so and top up if needed. br3ndan
its quite common for track cars to drop in another 500ml or so... however if u want to play it safe, just drain some out.. not to hard to do Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/214640-overfilled-oil/#findComment-3792144 Share on other sites
bubba
I accidently did this, then noticed my catch can had filled up and I freaked out thinking my nice new engine had just developed a shitload of blowby it basically spat all the extra oil into the catchcan at high revs and then stopped doing it.
