Hey SAU,

Im at the moment trying to figure out a good way to mount my greddy turbo timer and boost controller..im thinking of doing a custom setup similar to a WRX in Ignition DVD (HVDFLU?) has!

He mounted them side-by-side in a Single DIN space below the headunit..im wanting to do the same below my head unit, which is below the A/C control. Has anyone done this or know how to?i have a DIN mounted pocket im thinking of using and just double sided taping the units inside it then making a plate to make it look sexytime, maybe even with a lid so i can cover them from thieves and cops?ANY THOUGHTS?

Also how do i remove my dash/DIN space facia surround, so i can get to my headunit, etc.?im just scared of breaking it as there Really Expensive to replace, anyone got a link or a how to?

Look Forward to hearing from you all soon,

Dan.

To get to the headunit begin by pulling out the ashtray. You'll see a screw (or 2?) that come out. Then pull out the gearstick fascia (pops out). From there you will need to unscrew and pop out the headunit fascia. Start from the bottom and work your way around. Be GENTLE and it'll come out (it goes all the way from the headunit to the RHS of the steering wheel). Also remove the plastic cover around the steering rack, it's got about half-a-dozen screws from the bottom. Then you can then get to the mounting brackets for the headunit and unscrew them.

It's not hard, just take your time and have some rags handy to protect parts of the dash and console.

Do a search in car audio (could be in DIY, not sure exactly). There's a tutorial somewhere which also explains this.

Cheers.
