Another Bov Q

hey guys, i know you get sic of BOV Q & A but i did a search and was still unsure.

i was running a GFB Stealth fx BOV on my r33 gtst and all was good, made the usual "woosh" noise. i have just have a FMIC installed and not i get mass flutter (which i dont like). it happens all the time, even when i tighten/loosen the spring all the way. i would like some advice as to how i get the original sound back.

please help.

Check all of you vacuum lines...The BOV might not getting enough vacuum to open and thats why you are getting mass flutter....

change it for a larger BOV, or the factory one (factory or GTR are perfect for the job)

If you back the spring off all the way, then the BOV you have isnt passing enough air, hence its going back through to the turbo

I'd say that the GFX Bov is more than big enough.

I've seen this before on other cars where a larger FMIC and piping has caused the bov to not be as reactive as it was.

More boost will fix it.

or as others have said, more factory bov.

i have been told its to do with the a/f ratio getting stuffed up due to the aftermarket bov.

if i get a pfc installed and tuned, as well as wind up the boost, will this fix the problem?

Its not due to AFR's at all.

Go 33 - you're refering to the external bovs causing cars to stall.

this has nothing to do with that.. but probably eventually will..
