Oil Pump- Easy To Reaplce?

hey guys i was just wondering whether or not it is easy to replace a oil pump on a 32 gtr 26? and ewhat the priceof a n oil pump is worth??

no it is not easy at all. sump off and probably engine out. Oil pump is about $400.

oil pump replacement is an engine out job. As it involves removal of harmonic balancer and sump.

BTW I doubted you about 1.5 hours, but thats exactly how long it took us to take the motor out on the weekend. Using a hoist for the first time saved us over an hour. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...tml&hl=sump must get one of those to use all the time

ah was just wondering no problems just heard 32 gtr oil pumps were weak.

doesnt have to be engine out... but the engine mounts will need to be undone, and use a crane to raise it, then undo the sump, the pick up and all the other shit in the way of the pump.

easier said then done thats for sure
