Hey guys, im having a real deliema, i just bought some of this Redline shockproof 80w140 the red stuff. Now i have chucked it in the diff and gearbox.

The problem im having is that it still feels like my gearbox is really tight. As in getting the gears in. Sometimes they feel like they are crunching to get in.

What do you recommend for gearbox??? or should i stick with this stuff?

Also I can really smell this stuff its really strong inside the car. is that normal??

Also its for my 34gtt. and i also have a short shifter.

Cheers.

sorry found right section;

80w140? This is similar to the Redline shockproof, is that what your using? Most people use lightweight shockproof.

I've seen MT-90 recommended although I'm going to try MTL first...

damn straight the short shifter will be making it worse.

but gearbox takes smurf blood. the human blood is for diffs not gearbox

although tecnically they are both gear oils...I would not be putting the red one esp. at the visc in the GB.

just oils with the appropiate friction modifiers. I use MT-90 redline...I found it better than shockproof as it too is really a gear oil.
