Replacement R34 Turbo

This has probably been covered a million times but i cant find it.. plus im lazy,.. so

I want to up the boost in my 34 GTT, heard the stock turbos are piss weak n cant handle much boost so im looking for a stronger replacement, something thats basicly the same so i can pump some more boost into it, are there any replacement steel compressor wheels you can get? or am i better off getting an n1 turbo?... not sure of other requirements either.. retuning ecu, stuff like that.. any help would be great

the stocker is good for around 220 or even more.

what other mods have you got?

they are excellent in terms of response. skylines dont need big boost to make strong power.

I have the stock turbo and i see 190rwkw with 10psi.

let your turbo breathe properly and fit some good plugs and you should see a healthy increase.

if you wanted a bigger turbo, you would need a p/b or a full ecu..

Highflow the standard turbo it will pump out 250rwkw with just injectors, power fc, pump and cooling mods.

highflow costs about $2000, you give them yours and ussually straight swap. As its a R34 that might not be the case. GCG, precision turbos are your best options. They use ballbearing internals for faster more reliable boost and im sure you can talk to them about compressor wheels etc.

Injectors $1000

Powerfc $1500

Pump $300

Front mount, Boost tap/controller, oil cooler. depends on choice but expect $1500+

n1 turbos are off GTRS, they are small and meant to work in tandum to reach boost quick and hard through the rev range. Not designed for GTT

As you said yourself, your a bit lazy....

Time to find some motivation mate.

This topic has been so infinitely well covered now there is no need for another thread.

Please read the FI Guide (sticky) and the dyno results thread (sticky) you'll see what up-rated turbos people are running and how they affect performance and what other parts were required
