Hey,

Just wondering what the difference is between the Pillar Gauge holder from EBAY and the Pillar Gauge holder from JustJap? The one from EBAY cost $18, 52mm, and says its made of plastic and will fit R33/R32/Silvia. The one from JustJap cost $140 and says its a Trust brand and 60mm Gauge holder. The JustJap one is also avaiable for R32/R33/Silvia. Just wondering if anyone knows the difference? Does the JustJap one fit perfect? or is it made of wood?

If the JustJap one is the same kind of plastic gauge holder i dont see the point?

Thanks!! :P

Oh ive also wondered how you would attach the gauges to there holders? I cant see how a gauge would be held or mounted?

not sure about these two specific ones. but i had a similar holder in my r33 and it kinda fit, but the guy only held it in with one screw.

they shitty speco gauges he put in it kinda just sat in there with no help, they were reasonably tight though.

i found a generic cup holder with stand a friend had and modded it to fit the gauge i had and got rid of the anoying pillar mount

if you can mount your gauges some other way i recommend you do that

I've seen someone else trust pillar double guage holder, I expected to find a nice snug molded fit but it was not, not what I expected...

I would go the dash mounted ones myself...

Hmm....

yeah I could do the cup holder really easy! Plus they only cost $10 each! lol, I guess the cup holders if put neatly look pretty good....

But was interested in the Pillar Mount becasue i thought it looked a bit more Professional. Some skylines ive seen with Pillar mounts look really good! some look like it was there stock because of how neat its been setup.

Your gauges were floating inside the Pillar mount? lol, Crazy! lol

haha yeah i could pull them in and out and twist them around. dodgy wiring also. all fixed now though :P

if anyone wants a pillar pod i have one for you :P

Well after much thinking i decided to put the gauges under the deck! At first i didnt think they would even fit, but after a quick look with a boost gauge it fits easy!! Could easily fit 3, 52mm gauges in there. So gonna make up a metal plate this week to hold 3 gauges, paint it black and slap it in. Should look really neat and nice!! Wasnt keen on putting screw holes in the pillar or on my dash. Gonna put up pics this week of the install and steps of what i had to do if anyone is interested :)

pics plz :D

im also thinking about where to mount my boost gauge.

i will only be using a boost gauge, no other aftermarket gauges, so the pillar mount was out of the question, then i decided to mount mine under the cd player aswel, but i got my greddy turbo timer in there, so im gonna make a templet for the the boost gauge and turbo timer and get a piece of black acrylic cut out and mount them on that.....neat and easy

what brand 2" boost gauge do yoiu guys recomend? sumfin for around $80 ??
