Hey guys not sure if this is the right spot to ask but I've got an R32 gtst with RB20. Front mount, pod and boost controller are the only mods. Bought it a few months ago and the whole time it's had this problem.

Basically if you are in neutral and you rev it up (to any rpm) it takes a long time for the revs to drop... like 3-4 seconds from 6000 or so to idle.. Does the same if you are in gear and accelerate to the top of any gear and dip the clutch...

Any ideas what it could be? Surely it can't be normal to take that long to come back to idle.

check the location ofthe TPS

its a small grey box on the side of the throttle body

start the car, then get an 8mm ratchet and loosen the 2 bolts that hold the TPS in its position. move it left to right. you wil hear a click and hear the revs drop when it gets to its right position. from memory, it should be held in place just after it clicks and the revs drop. tighten it up after that.

then adjust the idle back to normal in the normal way

(find the AAC valve, disconnect the maroon plug, and turn the screw. reconnect maroon plug when done)

this should fix your problem ;)
