Many of my relatives have served this country in both World Wars, a few of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice and were burried where they fell in battle. Anzac day has always been a special day for me to reflect on their commitment and bravery. This year Stacey and I will be travelling down to attend the dawn service at the war memorial in Canberra. Would like to see if anyone would be keen to attend and have a few beers/breakfast afterwards. Any takers?

Fo shizzle yo, ill be at the service and im keen to reinact my Sydney ANZAC day from 2005 (Sydney goes off on ANZAC day). though I dont thinkn ill drink for 24 hours straight this time.

Im all for drinking and running amok but i get really shitty at the people who see this day as a piss up and gamble affair without at least attending one of the services during the day.

where we gonna meet up??

You know that I will be there with the missus Paul, Jayce and Erica will come too Im sure... Dont ask me to go to the dawn service though... Even though I am forever greatful for the life that all Aussie's live thanks to our diggers sacrifices, I am NOT a morning person and you dont want to know me that early in the morning. :D

There is a great spot in Kingston where you can get excellent coffee and breakfast its called Green Square, we should meet there.

You went to bed at Final Battle didnt you? Even if it was at 6:00am :(

 You have a missus called Paul?

Thats a bit like "I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse" its all about the grammar LOL

LOL, youre right I have a missus called Paul, (thats my pet name for her) guess who plays the male role in the relationship :(

I'm a dawn service guy through and through; of course me & E are there! For those that haven't done a dawn service, do yourself a favour. We all take this country for granted a little too much, and my family has fought for it in wars past. So, suck it up for one day in the year (Mick may be excuses...he REALLY isn't a morning person and SHOULD attend the 10 a.m. service instead); see you there. Or not, as it will be DARK.

I say we gather afterwards at Green Square, Kingston, for some brekky...

good to hear there wil lbe some people attending,

i had always attended the dawn service back home in geelong at point danger down in torquay (bells beach for the surfers out there). they are a truelly moving experience, every year theres a poam that just rips me to shreads with the last few words. but this year will be different. it will be my first ANZAC day 4am wake up, away from geelong, and this time i have the honour of saying i am a fresh face to the family of those air force members before me and remember them in solace, then party hard for the australia that they help shape. lest we forget

my two cents

yeah but then you'll all step aside and pretend you don't know me and leave me all alone being a blubbering mess LOL

Where are we meeting for the dawn service? Brekky at Green Square is a great idea, we used to have a Managers meeting there every week @ 7am and the brekkies & coffee were terrific.

We lost our Uncle in Beersheba (1st Light Horseman) and Dad served in WW2 - I'd love to go, but know I will bawl my eyes out. I get teary just thinking about it... I'm almost a bigger girl than Mick.

You may be taking things a bit far here Michele, theres no way possible that could ever happen.

Kingston sounds good. Dont forget there are plenty of buses starting early to take you to the service if you are planning to drink afterwards. We dont want to add to the Skyline driver fatality statistics now do we.

    • I had never actually looked into it, but aren't onboard compressors a thing in trucks?
    • Read the ECU for fault codes or have someone else do it. A faulty coolant temperature sender is usually listed in ECUs. If the sensor itself is not busted it can also be a bad ground connection. Or in a really unlucky case, damaged wiring.
    • Can't be a Futjitsubo as those are made with a flex piece and Reimax is smaller in pipe diameter. If anything it is closest to a Mines pipe, but evidently it is not an actual Mines pipe.   Classic word humor
    • Alright I will try to not forget.   As GTSboy replied to you already, problem is mainly the mismatch between the actual exhaust part and the denomination in the papers. That basically just looks like tampering to a cop, if they were to check your car and notice. If it had been done right they would have clarified it to be a custom pipe and just given it a certain part number that you have to engrave or weld onto the pipe. I will definitely inquire on what to do. Changing the pipe wouldn't be my favorite solution as it costs a bunch of money and the cat was fitted with the front pipe and exhaust under the car, and if the front pipe flange does not sit in the OEM location the cat will need to be refit for any other pipe to work. It also usually doesn't need a brand name or something like that, but more something like a part number. Usually for exhaust parts, on silencers and cat units specifically, there is a badge that reads the certificate number that belongs to these exhaust parts under EU regulation. You get these numbers after you put a part or group of parts through the tedious testing according to EU vehicle legislation and they pass. You can find these "part numbers" on various parts throughout a EU vehicle. On windows, headlights, engine parts, seat belts and so on. All these parts have gone through standardized testing and acquired a so called ECE or EG Certificate that makes them legal to use by themselves in all countries that adhere to these standards. You can also not alter these parts in any way, if you do they become illegal. An example for stampings on an exterior lighting part, the people who need to know can find the documentation for this unit in a database. I do not know what all the standards and so on mean.
    • If that was the case I suppose you could call it "Mein's" brand....  ... I'll see myself out... 😅
